HARRISONBURG, VA - William & Mary's 50th-ranked women's tennis team improved its Colonial Athletic Association record to 5-0 (7-9 overall) this season with a 7-0 shutout at James Madison. The win is the 77th-consecutive CAA dual match win for the Tribe. W&M has never lost a dual match against a CAA team in the regular or postseason.

The match began with doubles, with the Tribe sweeping the three matches for the team point. In the top match Jessyca Arthur (Klamath Falls, OR) and Delphine Troch (Waterloo, Belgium) defeated Lauren Dalton/Sheri Puppo, 8-4, improving their record to 9-4 this season. All four of their losses have come against teams currently in the national rankings. At No. 2 Kari Olsen (San Diego, CA) and Lindsay Sullivan (Delray Beach, FL) defeated Christy Michaux/Elizabeth Simon, 8-2. Nina Kamp (Pine Brook, NJ) and Kelli Partlow (Winchester, VA) teamed up to win, 8-6, at No. 3 over Sarah Dranson/Margie Zesinger.

Things went just as easily for the Tribe in singles play, as W&M won all but one match in straight sets. Troch defeated Puppo, 7-5, 6-2, in the top match, and Arthur defeated Dalton, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 2 to lead off the Tribe. Sullivan won, 6-1, 6-3, over Simon at No. 3 to earn her 98th career singles win, the sixth-highest mark in school history. Kamp defeated Zesinger, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 4; Olsen defeated Michaux, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 5 and Partlow defeated Carol Culley, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 6 to close out the Tribe's scoring.

William & Mary returns to action on April 7 with a pair of CAA road matches. The Tribe will play at UNC Wilmington at 8:30 AM and will travel to play East Carolina at 3:00 PM.
