WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After establishing herself among the nation's top women's lacrosse coaches, William & Mary assistant Katie Lasater has been selected for this year's IWLCA Aspire Assistant Coach Development Program.

Lasater is among a distinguished group of 26 coaches, and one of just 14 at the Division I level, to earn the honor.
 
Launched in 2024, Aspire is designed to align with the IWLCA's vision to offer an intensive, high quality continuing education opportunity for current assistant coaches. The Aspire program's curriculum includes virtual and in-person programing throughout the fall semester designed to foster professional growth and development.
 
Lasater, who enters her third season as an assistant coach on W&M's staff, is instrumental in all aspects of the Tribe lacrosse program and serves as the offensive coordinator.
 
During her time at W&M, she has helped elevate the program in numerous ways. After helping lead the Tribe to its second-highest win total in nine years in 2025, W&M improved upon its victory count for a second consecutive season last spring. Additionally, last season W&M entered the final weekend of action in contention for the program's first CAA Tournament berth since 2011. 
 
In addition to helping produce numerous all-conference standouts during the past two seasons, the 2025 campaign saw the Tribe post one of the program's most successful campaigns statistically, ranking among W&M's single-season top-10 lists in points per game (16.12 / 7th), points (258 / T9th), goals (185 / 10th) and goals per game (11.56 / 10th).
