WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — After excelling on the field and in the classroom, five William & Mary lacrosse standouts were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) At-Large Academic All-District Team.
Sophie Busam,
Molly Delaney,
Kate Draddy,
Finley Hoffman and
Maresa Moyer garnered the distinction. The honor marks the third consecutive year Draddy has earned the accolade, while it is the second straight year for Hoffman.
All five standouts were starters for the Tribe this season and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.
The impressive group highlighted another outstanding year academically for the program, as the team posted a cumulative combined GPA of 3.46 in 2025-26. Additionally, 13 Tribe Lax standouts earned W&M's Provost Award for academic excellence.
W&M's career record holder or draw controls (201), Draddy recently completed an outstanding senior season in which she earned first-team All-CAA honors. The Charlotte, N.C., native totaled a team-high 67 draw controls, which ranks third on W&M's single-season list, and ranked third in the CAA during conference play with 2.71 ground balls per game. Additionally, Draddy ranked sixth in the league in draw controls per game (4.19) and seventh in ground balls per game (2.06).
Hoffman, a three-year starter, ranked tied for fifth in the CAA during conference play in ground balls per game (2.43) during her junior season this spring. In addition to ranking second on the team in ground balls (30), she also was fourth in goals (20) and points (26), while she also totaled 10 caused turnovers.
A starter in all 16 games as a sophomore in 2026, Busam ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (17) and tied for third in ground balls (26). Additionally, the Summit, N.J., native recorded multiple caused turnovers in seven games and recorded season highs in caused turnovers (3) and ground balls (4) in the win against Coastal Carolina en route to earning CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors.
One of W&M's top defensive players, Delaney earned starts in all 16 contests and finished the season with 11 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls. The Garnet Valley, Pa., native registered multiple caused turnovers at Hofstra and versus Towson.
Moyer was also a fixture in the Tribe's lineup and one of W&M's best players during the 2026 campaign. The Crofton, Md., native finished the spring with 12 points (10g, 2a), 20 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers and a draw control. The former CAA All-Rookie Team selection concluded her collegiate career with 62 points (48, 14a), 53 ground balls, 26 caused turnovers and 31draw controls.
