RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary junior Brian Walsh has been named the 2026 CAA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, the league office announced Friday morning.

Walsh had a standout performance at the 2026 CAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston, earning Most Outstanding Performer in Field events after winning gold in the pentathlon with 3,774 points. He also placed third in the long jump and fourth in the pole vault, earning 21 points, the most of any individual performer at the meet.

Walsh's pentathlon score was the second-highest in school history. The Mendham, N.J. native also registered a top-10 performance in the long jump.
