- The Tribe is the No. 6 seed in the CAA Tournament for the fifth time and first since 2013. W&M is 0-4 as the No. 6 seed, but all four setbacks have come to the No. 3 seed. The Green and Gold has won a game in eight of its last 12 CAA Tournaments. W&M was the No. 6 seed in 1991, 1995, and 1996 as well.
- W&M and Elon meet for the fifth time in the CAA Tournament since the Phoenix joined the league prior to the 2014-15 campaign. The Tribe is 3-1 against Elon with wins in 2015 (quarterfinals), 2017 (quarterfinal), and 2023 (second round). The Phoenix's lone victory came in the quarterfinals in 2020.
- The No. 6 seed is 6-3 all-time vs. No. 11, including wins in the last two meetings in 2023 and 2025 since the league membership increased to more than 11 teams.
- W&M closed out the regular season with three-straight wins. It marked just the third time since 2000 that the Tribe ended the regular season winning three or more consecutive games. The Tribe ended the 2019 and 2020 seasons with five-straight wins entering the CAA Tournament.
- The Tribe won its 19th game of the year in the regular-season finale against Hampton. It marks the 12th time in the 121-year in program history that it has won 19 or more games in a season and the ninth time that has occurred during the regular season. Head coach
Brian Earl is the first W&M coach to win at least 17 games in his first two seasons. His 36 wins in his first two years rank second in Tribe history behind only Bernard Wilson's 37 in 1947-48 and 1948-49.
- W&M has excelled at the free throw line this season. The Tribe ranks 20th nationally in free throws made (18.8) and is scoring 22.7% of its points at the charity stripe, which ranks 52nd in the country. The Tribe's 563 free throws made rank fourth in school history and are the most for the program since 1958. W&M leads the CAA in free throw % (74.8), which also ranks 94th nationally.
- In three of the Tribe's last six games, including its final two of the regular season, W&M scored over 90 points. the Green and Gold leads the CAA and ranks 25th nationally at 84.2 points per game. W&M has scored over 90 points on nine occasions this season and is 8-1 in those contests. The Tribe's scoring average ranks second in school history and would also be the sixth-best mark in CAA history.
- In two of its last three games and three times this season, W&M connected on 30 or more free throws in a game. The Tribe tied the school record with 34 free throws vs. Campbell on Jan. 31 and followed it up with 32 makes in wins over Northeastern (Feb. 26) and Hampton (March 3). Over the last three games, W&M is shooting 78.5% (84-of-107) at the free throw line and averaging 28 made free throws per game.
- W&M has been one of the best teams in the country in terms of sharing the basketball under head coach
Brian Earl. W&M is averaging 18.3 assists per game this season, which leads the CAA and ranks 12th in the country. The Tribe's assist average and 549 total assists are school records. W&M is also ninth nationally in assist rate, assisting on 63.9% of its field goals.
Brian Earl-coached teams have ranked in the top 33 nationally in assist rate each of the last five years.
- The Tribe possesses a balanced attack offensively with eight players averaging nearly seven points per game, including four in double figures. In total, 12 of the Tribe's 13 players that have seen action in 2025-26 have scored in double figures at least once and nine different players have led the team in scoring in a game, which is tied for the national lead.
- Bench scoring has been a staple for
Brian Earl's teams. This season, the Tribe is averaging 34.2 points per game from its reserves, which leads the CAA and ranks fifth in the country, as of March 5. W&M's leading scorer has come off the bench in 10 of its 19 wins this season. Earl-coached teams have ranked among the top 10 nationally each of the last four years in bench scoring, including three seasons in the top five. Last year, the Tribe ranked eighth nationally in bench scoring (31.9) after Earl's final Cornell team led the country in 2023-24 (36.0).
- W&M is once again among the fastest-paced teams in the country. According to KenPom.com (as of March 5), the Tribe leads the country in fastest average length of possession on offense (13.6 seconds) and ranks fifth in adjusted tempo (72.9). Last season, the Tribe ranked third in fastest average length of possession (14.9) and 18th in adjusted tempo (71.5). In each of the last five seasons,

- With its pace, W&M ranks seventh nationally in fastbreak points per game at 17.2. The Tribe is 12-3 over the last two seasons under Earl when scoring 20 or more fast break points in a game. In three of the last four seasons, Earl-coached teams have ranked among the top 20 nationally in fast break points. W&M was 16th (14.4) last season in the category, while Cornell ranked second in 2022-23 (15.9).
- W&M ranks 31st nationally, forcing opponents into 14.3 turnovers per game, and converting those into 17.2 points per game. The Tribe leads the CAA and ranks 51st nationally in steals (8.0). On three occasions this season, the Green and Gold tallied 14 or more stelas in a CAA game, including a season-high 15 at Drexel on Jan. 10. It marked the most for the Tribe in a game against a D1 opponent since 1998.
- The Tribe has jumped 96 spots from its preseason KenPom rating, as of March 5, to No. 135. The improvement is the 19th largest in the country and biggest in the CAA. The Tribe earned its highest rating this season since 2016 at No. 114. W&M is also currently No. 124 in the NCAA NET Rankings, as of March 5, which is the third best in the CAA. The Tribe was as high as No. 50, which was its highest standing since the tool was introduced in 2018-19.

Reese Miller has been on a scoring tear as of late, averaging 15.2 points over the last nine games. He is shooting 53.9% (48-of-89) from the field during the stretch. He has scored in double figures in eight of the last 11 games, including two 20-plus point games. Miller, who scored a season-high 26 at Campbell, is the Tribe's leading scorer at 12.3 per game, which ranks 21st in the CAA.

Jo'el Emanuel has scored in double figures in five of the last eight games off the bench, averaging 10.6 points per game during the stretch. Emanuel sparked the Tribe to a win over Northeastern on Feb. 26 behind a season-high 16 points. Over the last eight games, he is shooting 50% (25-of-50) from the field and 74.4% (32-of-43) at the free throw line.

Chase Lowe became just the third player in school history with 600 rebounds and 300 assists in his career, joining John Lowenhaupt '78 and Omar Prewitt '17 in accomplishing the feat. He ranks seventh in the CAA this season in assists (3.8) and 14th in rebounding (5.8). Lowe is 12th in W&M history in career assists (324) and 16th in rebounding (635).

Kyle Pulliam, who has scored in double figures in eight of the last nine games, ranks 18th in program history in free throw shooting at 78.4% (152-of-194). He is ninth in the CAA overall (82%) and eighth in league games (81.6%) in free throw shooting.

Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi has increased his production in CAA play. During the nonconference, he averaged 10.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 42.2% from the field, 29.3% from 3-point range, and 77.3% at the free throw line. The 6-7 forward has scored in double figures in seven of the last nine games. In CAA play, Vahlberg Fasasi ranks 23rd in the league at 12.1 points per game, while averaging 4.8 rebounds per games and shooting 47.4% from the field, 35.1% from 3 and 83.3% at the free throw line.

Kilian Brockhoff leads the Tribe with four 20-point games this season, including a career-high 28 points in the win over Hofstra on Jan. 24. Against the Pride, he knocked down eight 3-pointers which ranks third on the Tribe's single-game list. He recently tallied 21 points in the Tribe's win over Northeastern in Kaplan Arena on Feb. 26.

Ryan Jackson, Jr. has been a spark off the bench for the Tribe this season. He has scored in double figures in seven games, including a career-high 18 points at Hampton on Feb. 7. Jackson, Jr. is shooting 66.7% from 2-point range this season, which ranks 69th nationally according to KenPom.com.

Gabe Dorsey (Slovakia),
Caleb Dorsey (Slovakia), and
Matteus Case (Albania) signed professional contracts in Europe. In total, 10 former Tribe standouts are playing professionally overseas, including Miguel Ayesa (Spain), David Cohn (Germany), Nathan Knight (South Korea), Anders Nelson (Romania), Terry Tarpey (France), Marcus Thornton (Romania), and Andy Van Vliet (Germany). Daniel Dixon '17, who won an NBA title as an assistant with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2025, was named the head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's NBA G-League affiliate, in August. Alums Chris Darnell '09 (Sacramento Kings) and Sean Sheldon (Utah Jazz) are also currently NBA assistant coaches.
