MARICOPA, Ariz. - William & Mary men's golf enjoyed a record-setting day on Saturday at the Golfweek National Golf Invitational. The Tribe fired a school-record round of 18-under 270, besting the previous mark by two shots, at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

All five Tribe players shot rounds under par, including a trio of career highs. In total, W&M posted 24 birdies compared to only four bogeys. The Green and Gold sits in fourth place in the 10-team field at 22-under par 554 (284-270). The Tribe fired its 13th round of par or better as a team this season and topped the previous school-record mark of 16-under 272 in the second round at the VCU Shootout in 2022.

Freshman Eli Felty was one of three Tribe players to play an unblemished round without a bogey. He birdied four holes on the front and another two on the back to post a career-best 6-under par 66. The score to par is the fourth best in W&M history.

Felty and graduate student Matthew Monastero both rank among the top 10 in the tournament in a share of ninth through two rounds at 7-under par.

Monastero posted five birdies compared to zero bogeys. He birdied four holes in a row on the front nine, before collecting his fifth on the 606-yard par 5 13th to shoot a career-best 5-under 67. It was the 12th-best round in program history.

Freshman Talon Dingledine added a second school record to the day with his 16th round of the season of par or better. He was the third Tribe player to shoot an unblemished round with four birdies and no bogeys to tally a 4-under par 68. Dingledine, who topped Logan Hunter's school record of rounds of par or better in a season, sits in 12th place through two rounds at 6-under.

Sophomore Grady Williams added another career-best round with a 3-under 69. He posted six total birdies, three on each side.

Williams and junior Preston Burton are tied for 29th place through two rounds at 1-under par. Burton collected his 14th round of par or better this season with a 2-under 70. His round of par or better total this season ranks third on the program's single-season list.

The Tribe will be paired with Wyoming, who is fifth at 21-under, and Mercer, who is sixth at 18-under, in the final round of the NGI on Sunday. W&M tees off at 8:05 a.m. PT (11:05 a.m. ET).
