RICHMOND, Va. — Two-way freshman Jett Humphreys was named the CAA Baseball Rookie of the Week after collecting four hits and a pair of wins on the mound in William & Mary's weekend sweep of North Carolina A&T, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Humphreys excelled on both sides of the ball, batting 4-for-8 with a double and three RBI. He also appeared in every game on the mound, going 2-0 with no runs over 2 ⅔ innings.

The Abingdon, Va. native pitched a scoreless inning in Friday's victory, striking out a pair of Aggies. On Saturday, Humphreys got three outs in the seventh inning and was the pitcher of record in the Tribe's 6-5 win while going 2-for-4 with an RBI at the plate.

On Sunday, Humphreys earned another win, recording two outs in the ninth before W&M came back to walk off N.C. A&T 11-10. He batted 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI, including a game-tying single in the seventh.

He became the first Tribe pitcher to record a hit and earn the win in the same game multiple times since Jack Cone in 2022. It marks the third time this season a Tribe freshman has picked up CAA Rookie of the Week honors.
