A Look at the Tribe
Led by preseason all-conference selection Kate Draddy, W&M enters the upcoming campaign eager to challenge for a spot among the upper echelon in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA). Although W&M must replace three of its top four scorers due to graduation, Draddy (26g, 8) and Finley Hoffman (19g, 1a) provided significant offensive production last season. The Tribe also returns its entire defensive unit and is led by Jaylin Locke (22 CT) and Molly Delaney (18 CT). Additionally, Marin Wilhelm returns in goal after starting all 16 games last season and is joined by Colgate transfer Lauren Solis, who started 33 games during the past two seasons.

Scouting George Washington
Picked to finish eighth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll, George Washington opened its season with a 22-7 victory against Howard last Friday. Led by Grace Curry and Mia Milkowski who scored four goals apiece, 11 different Revs found the back of the cage in the season-opening win. Additionally, Daisen Iwan recorded a hat trick while Ava St. Jeanos provided five assists. Preseason all-conference defender Stella Ray and Maggie Pond totaled three ground balls apiece.

Last Meeting vs. George Washington
W&M was edged by George Washington, 10-9, in its home opener last season at Martin Family Stadium. Although W&M trailed by four goals midway through the fourth quarter, it mounted an impressive comeback bid and narrowed the margin to just one on multiple occasions before GW held on for the hard-fought non-conference victory. Last season, the Tribe opened the 2025 campaign with a 13-11 victory at Coastal Carolina.

Road Openers
In addition to winning its road opener at Coastal Carolina last season, W&M has won three of its last four road openers. The lone loss during the recent stretch was an overtime setback versus George Mason in 2024.
