RICHMOND, Va. — After another historic performance in the shot put, William & Mary freshman Uriah Harris was named the CAA Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Harris broke his own personal record in the shot put at Penn State on Saturday, delivering a throw of 17.97m (58' 11.5") to finish in fourth place. The Richmond, Va. native improved his shot put for the third straight week as he continues to lead the CAA. It remains the third-best performance in program history and the best ever for a Tribe freshman.

In addition, Harris posted a mark of 16.82m (55' 2.25") in the weight throw, ranking fifth in the CAA.

He is the second Tribe athlete to earn CAA weekly honors during the indoor season, joining Elizabeth Strobach (Jan. 27).
