Track & Field Wraps up Hokie Invitational With Several Top-10’s

BLACKSBURG, Va. – William & Mary track & field concluded the Hokie Invitational on Saturday, scoring three top-10 all-time performances and a pair of event victories.

Elizabeth Strobach had an impressive showing in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 4.07m (13'4.25") for a new personal record. That performance moved her up to second all-time.

Elsewhere in field events, Uriah Harris was able to beat his own personal record in the shot put with a throw of 17.80m (58'4.75"), the third-best performance in school history.

The Green & Gold had a couple notable performances in distance events. Freshman Jeffrey Linton won the men's 800m with a time of 1:54.03. In the mile run, W&M had a pair of runners finish in the top-three between Hayes Trapp (4:10.88) and Caleb Wilcox (4:12.03).

In the men's 200m, Andrew Ernst posted the third-fastest time in school history with a time of 21.91 to finish first. Jacob Robinson trailed him in fourth place, logging a time of 22.28.

The Tribe concluded the weekend with 10 top-10 performances.
