Michelle Ngo, Sam Smith Awarded CEEK Next Collegiate Athlete Leadership Recognition

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary gymnastics standouts Michelle Ngo and Sam Smith were recently awarded CEEK Next Collegiate Athlete Leadership Recognition, becoming the first recipients of CEEK's new NIL scholarship.
 
Ngo and Smith were selected as recipients of the scholarship because of their character, consistency and contributions that extend beyond their athletic achievements.
 
Both standouts will receive a $500 NIL Honorarium and will be celebrated through a leadership workshop delivered for their team, department or school.
 
A two-time All-GEC standout on floor, Ngo is also a tremendous student who has garnered numerous academic accolades. In addition to being honored as a WCGA Scholastic All-American every season, she has also garnered the GEC Scholar-Athlete Award and W&M's Provost Award multiple times.

Smith, a team captain, has been one of the Tribe's top performers on pommel horse throughout his career and is a two-time USA Gymnastics Collegiate All-American in the event.
 
The Norfolk, Va., native has also been recognized for his success in the classroom and garnered ECAC All-Academic Team distinction.
