LAST TIME OUT
The Green & Gold had a perfect weekend at the Tribe Quad Meet in Hampton last Friday, winning all four of its dual meet competitions and breaking eight dual meet records. Lauren Tucker set a pair of dual meet records in the 500 free (4:53.82) and 1000 free (10:00.02), the latter standing as the second-fastest time in school history.
Aiden Bond set a dual record in the 100 free with his time of 43.85, while standout freshman Toby Herzog clocked in at 2:03.25 in the 200 breast. The women's 400 free relay team also posted the fastest-ever dual meet time, finishing in 3:23.17.
STARTING OFF
- W&M swept the CAA weekly awards this week, with Aiden Bond and Lauren Tucker being recognized as the CAA Men's and Women's Swimmer of the Week, respectively.
- Bond secured two individual victories and a relay win at the Tribe Quad Meet. The junior continues to hold the fastest time in the 50 free (19.73) and 100 free (43.55) this season.
- So far this year, William & Mary has broken two school records, 12 dual meet records, and eight Rec Center pool records.
- Julie Addison is pacing the league in the 50 back at 24.82, followed by Sarah Dunham at 25.33. Addison also holds the fastest time in the 100 back (53.34).
- Lindsay Juhlin is leading the CAA in all three breast events (50, 100, 200).
- The Tribe has the fastest 200 medley relay time in the CAA at 1:39.25 thanks to Addison, Juhlin, Lauren Klinefelter, and Caroline Burgeson.
- Freshman Tyler Barritt has been off to a strong start for the men, posting the fifth-best time ever in the 1000 free (9:23.65) at George Washington. Barritt has already registered top-16 performances in three different events (500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free).
MEET HISTORY
The Tribe women are 27-3 in dual meets all-time against Davidson, while the men have a 39-11-1 record versus the Wildcats. The two teams have met in the pool every season since 2013-14.
