- W&M and North Carolina A&T meet for the fifth time since the Aggies joined the CAA in 2022. The Tribe has won the last two meetings, including a thrilling 81-78 victory on a
Keller Boothby buzzer-beating 3-pointer last season. Thursday will be the first of two meetings this season between the teams as W&M travels to Greensboro on Feb. 28.
- The Tribe recorded a season-high 15 steals and forced 19 turnovers at Drexel on Jan. 10. The total ranks eighth in school history and is the fourth most against a Division I opponent. It is the program's most against a DI foe since 1998 when it had 16 at The Citadel. On the year, the Tribe leads the CAA in both turnovers forced (15.8) and steals (9.2), while ranking 18th and 36th in the country, respectively. The Tribe averages 18.8 points per game off turnovers.
- W&M has excelled on the defensive end of the court this season. The Green and Gold ranks among the top 100 nationally in defensive efficiency (No. 99 at 105.0) according to KenPom.com, which is second in the CAA. The ranking is the program's best since 1997-98 (67th). The Tribe also ranks 20th nationally in 3-point % defense (28.8) and 76th in field goal % defense (41.5).
- With its pace, W&M ranks 11th nationally in fastbreak points per game at 17.9. The Tribe is 10-2 over the last two seasons under head coach
Brian Earl when scoring 20 or more fast break points in a game. In three of the last four seasons, Earl-coached team have ranked among the top 20 nationally in fast break points. W&M was 16th (14.4) last season in the category, while Cornell ranked second in 2022-23 (15.9).
- Junior
Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi has turned it on in CAA play. He ranks among the top 12 in the league in scoring (12th at 14.8), field goals % (sixth at 48.1%), and 3-pointers made (10th at 2.2) in CAA games. Vahlberg Fasasi has scored in double figures in four-straight contests, including 22 against both Stony Brook (12/31) and at Charleston (1/5).
- The Tribe possesses a balanced attack offensively with eight players averaging at least 6.5 points per game, including four in double figures. In total 12 of the Tribe's 13 players that have seen action in 2025-26 have scored in double figures at least once and nine different players have led the team.
- W&M is once again among the fastest-paced teams in the country. According to KenPom.com (as of Jan. 14), the Tribe leads the country in fastest average length of possession on offense (13.4 seconds) and ranks fifth in adjusted tempo (75.4). Last season, the Tribe ranked third in fastest average length of possession (14.9) and 18th in adjusted tempo (71.5). In each of the last five seasons,

- Bench scoring has been a staple for head coach
Brian Earl's teams. This season, the Tribe is averaging 31.7 points per game from its reserves, which leads the CAA and ranks 40th in the country, as of Jan. 14. W&M's leading scorer has come off the bench in six of its 11 wins this season. Last year, the Tribe ranked eighth nationally in bench scoring (31.9) after Earl's final Cornell team led the country in 2023-24 (36.0).
- The Tribe has also been one of the best teams in the country in terms of sharing the basketball under Earl. W&M is averaging 18.4 assists per game this season, which leads the CAA and ranks 21st in the country. The Tribe is 13th nationally in assist rate, assisting on 63.9% of its made field goals. A season ago, W&M was 10th nationally in assist rate (62%) and 25th nationally at 16.5 assists per game.

- Senior
Chase Lowe reached a pair of career milestones with his 500th career rebound vs. ODU and his 250th assist at Duquesne. He ranks 17th in school history in assists (280) and is four away from 16th place. Lowe is one of just six players in school history with 500 rebounds and 250 assists, joining an elite list of John Lowenhaupt '78, David Schneider '10, Omar Prewitt '17, Terry Tarpey '16, and Nathan Knight '20. He ranks fifth in the CAA this season in assists (4.2) and 20th in rebounding (5.4).

Gabe Dorsey (Slovakia),
Caleb Dorsey (Slovakia), and
Matteus Case (Portugal) signed professional contracts in Europe. In total, 10 former Tribe standouts are playing professionally overseas, including Miguel Ayesa (Spain), David Cohn (Germany), Nathan Knight (South Korea), Anders Nelson (Romania), Terry Tarpey (France), Marcus Thornton (Romania), and Andy Van Vliet (Germany). Daniel Dixon '17, who won an NBA title as an assistant with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2025, was named the head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's NBA G-League affiliate, in August. Alums Chris Darnell '09 (Sacramento Kings) and Sean Sheldon (Utah Jazz) are also currently NBA assistant coaches.
