WILLIAMSBURG, Va.—The William & Mary women's soccer team returns to action after a week off, taking on No. 20 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg on Sunday at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACCNX.

st minute. The Tribe put the game away via
Lindsay Wilson in the 77
th minute while American's lone goal came with two minutes left. The Tribe outshot the Eagles 17-8.
Hot Start for Lindsay
Lindsay Wilson has been a prominent piece in the Tribe's offense this season, already tying her career-high with seven points to lead the team. Wilson's owns a trio of goals in 2025 and paired her score against American with an assist on the first W&M goal against the Eagles. The outing was just the second time in her career with a goal and a helper in the same game. Wilson currently ranks fourth in the CAA with three goals.
Looking to Run it Back
The Tribe will be eyeing its second road victory in as many years against an ACC opponent after beating NC State 1-0 a season ago. The victory was the Tribe's first road win against an ACC school since 2016. W&M's lone win in Blacksburg came in 1994.
Getting' Shots Up
After taking just 14 total shots over its first two games, the Green and Gold has emphasized its offensive attack as of late. Over the last four contests the Tribe is averaging 13 shots per game and posted a season-high 17 against American.
History with the Hokies
Virginia Tech and William & Mary meet for the 19
th time on the pitch on Sunday with the Tribe holding a 10-8-0 series advantage. Recent meetings have been all Hokies however as W&M looks to end a five-match losing streak in the series. The Tribe's last win over Virginia Tech came in an NCAA Tournament game in 2004. So far in 2025 the Hokies are 4-2-1 and ranked No. 20 in the nation with losses against Georgetown and Old Dominion on the road.
