BIG BLOCKS
The Tribe ranks second in the nation in blocks per set at 3.27 following last week's action. Individually, Ryann Love paces the squad with 1.63 blocks per set, followed by Olivia Esposito at 1.00.

W&M has posted double-digit blocks in six of its eight matches. The 98.0 total blocks are the most through eight games since single-match statistics date back to 1998.

HEY, SHAY
Shylah Swope had a double-double against Norfolk State, racking up 17 assists and 10 digs. It marks her fourth double-double of the season.

DEFENSIVE STALWART
Avery Horejsi continues to rack up digs, pouring in a career-high 29 against Liberty on Saturday. The White Lake, Mich. native has an average of 4.33 digs per set, ranking 59th nationally and third in the CAA.

ACED
W&M leads the CAA in service aces per set with 2.10. Esposito has tallied a team-high 14 aces, with her average of 0.61 per set good for second in the conference and 16th in Division I. Devereaux Hoxsie comes in fourth in the CAA with a 0.46 clip.

Freshman Sophia Van Name made her collegiate debut against Norfolk State, racking up six kills and adding four blocks. Four freshmen saw action in the victory, with rookies Olivia Westfort (five kills, four blocks) and Damisi Osibodu (two kills, six blocks) contributing.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Delaware State is 4-7 on the year and has dropped three straight, all to major-conference programs. UTRGV comes in at 3-5 with wins over LIU, Northern Kentucky, and Akron.

JMU owns a 4-5 record and won two of three matches at the Marquette Invitational last weekend. The Dukes rank top-30 in Division I in kills assists per set and kills per set.

Among tournament opponents, the Tribe has only faced JMU before. The two teams have met 99 times, the most among W&M opponents, with JMU holding a 55-44 series edge.
