5/14/2025 1:30:00 PM

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary will conclude the regular season with a three-game series at Towson this weekend as it hopes to clinch a CAA Tournament bid. The action will get underway with an early 3 p.m. start on Thursday, followed by a 3 p.m. Friday game and 1 p.m. Saturday contest. All games will be streamed on FloSports.

LAST TIME OUT
The Tribe was swept by Northeastern over the weekend. LHP Nick Lottchea was a bright spot, tossing five scoreless innings in his Friday start with five strikeouts and no walks.

INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
OF Ben Parker saw his program record 34-game hitting streak come to an end on Friday against Charleston. The streak stands tied for the all-time CAA record and is the second-longest in Division I this season (Missouri State's Nick Rodriguez is at 36 games). The Los Altos, Calif. native ranks third nationally in hits (89), fifth in doubles (23), and 10th in batting average (.416), all tops in the CAA. He's also the conference leader in on-base percentage (.500) and total bases (150).

WIN AND YOU'RE IN
To clinch a spot in the CAA Tournament next weekend, the Tribe simply needs to win one game against Towson. They can also get in if Campbell wins their series against Delaware.

The Green & Gold currently sits in a four-way tie for third place in the CAA standings at 13-11, along with Charleston, Elon, and Campbell. The top six teams make the tournament. W&M can be seeded anywhere from third to sixth, depending on the tiebreaker scenarios.

JERRY ROLL
C Jerry Barnes III has thrown out 19 runners attempting to steal, which ranks tied for the CAA lead along with Charleston's Dylan Johnson. It's also tied for the fourth-most caught stealing by in single-season program history. The junior backstop has also contributed with his bat, hitting a two-run homer in a 2-for-4 day against Northeastern on Sunday.

IRON MAN
RHP Daniel Lingle leads the nation with 30 games pitched. The sophomore hurler has racked up 25 strikeouts in 33.2 innings of work.
