WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's basketball head coach
Brian Earl announced the addition 6-9 forward Kilian Brockhoff (Cuxhaven, Germany/Saint Louis) to the Tribe for the 2025-26 season.
"Kilian is a big body who brings a wealth of international experience having played for the German Youth National Team," Earl said. "He gives us some size on the front line, and his skill level and shooting ability add a different dimension offensively."
Brockhoff, who will have two years of eligibility remaining, has two years of Division I experience, spending the 2023-24 season at UCSB in the Big West before playing at Saint Louis last season. He has played in 42 career games and helped the Billikens to the NIT last season. Saint Louis finished the 2024-25 season at 19-15 overall and 11-7 in the A-10.
Playing in the A-10, Brockhoff averaged 1.3 points per game as a reserve at the forward position. During his freshman season at UCSB, he averaged 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 37.9% from 3-point range. He scored a career-high 14 points in his collegiate debut vs. Bethesda in 2023 with the Gauchos. He also knocked down 3-of-5 from 3-point range and tallied nine points at CSUN later that season.
Brockhoff has experience at the international level prior to his time in college. He helped the German U19 national team to silver medal finishes at the 2022 and 2023 FIBA European Championships. At the 2022 event, he averaged 12.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Brockhoff becomes the third Division I transfer and fifth member of the Tribe's class this offseason. He joins W&M's incoming group that includes
forward Cade Haskins (Minneapolis, Minn. / Dartmouth),
forward Jo'el Emanuel (Suffern, N.Y. / Fairleigh Dickinson), guard Reese Miller (Round Rock, Texas / Blinn Community College), and guard Ethan Connery (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio / Casper College).
In its first season under Earl, the Tribe enjoyed one of the top turnarounds in the country, finishing with a 17-15 record. The 17 wins rank 12th in program history, while the program produced 11 CAA wins for just the fifth time. W&M debuted a new style of play featuring a fast-paced tempo. The Green and Gold ranked among the national leaders in tempo, 3-point shooting, scoring, and assists.
