4/24/2025 10:00:00 AM

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The William & Mary baseball team will look to extend their three-game winning streak as they travel to Stony Brook for a pivotal CAA series this weekend. The three-game set will get underway on Friday at 2 p.m., followed by a Saturday game at 1 p.m. and the Sunday finale at noon. All games will be streamed on FloSports.

LAST TIME OUT
W&M took down Navy 9-3 on Tuesday for their first road midweek victory of the season. The offense was led by INF Owen Wilson, who on base all five times, recording two hits and three walks and scored three times. RHP Reed Interdonato got the win, going two scoreless innings with one hit and two strikeouts. Six Tribe arms held the Midshipmen to six hits and two walks.

STILL STREAKING
OF Ben Parker extended his hitting streak to 26 games with a 2-for-5 day against the Midshipmen. It stands as the second-longest hit streak for a Tribe player since at least 2004, surpassed only by Ben Guez' 32-game streak in 2008. Parker leads the CAA in batting average (.406), hits (69), doubles (16), runs (52), and total bases (112). His hit total also ranks ninth in Division I, while his batting average ranks 27th.

ROOKIE HONORS
INF Jamie Laskofski was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday following a Campbell series that saw him hit .500 (7-for-14) with three doubles, five RBI, and his first career home run. He also added three walks and stole a base. On Saturday, the Burke, Va. native went 3-for-5 including a game-tying homer in the fifth inning as the Tribe overcame a four-run deficit. Then he went 3-for-5 on Sunday, reaching base five times.

This is the second CAA Rookie of the Week award for Laskofski, having been honored previously on March 31. He leads all CAA freshmen in batting average (.338), hits (52), runs (42), and stolen bases (10).

WOW
INF Owen Wilson has turned on the jets in the last week. The grad student is riding a seven-game hitting streak during which he is slashing a team-best .480/.581/.520 with five RBI, nine runs, and five walks. He's also solidified the shortstop position, posting a .970 fielding percentage with just one error.

IN MEMORIAM
OF Lucas Carmichael saw his 23-game hitting streak come to an end on Saturday vs. Campbell. It was the third-longest hitting streak in the program since 2004. Over that span, the Chester, Va. native slashed .400/.450/.710 with eight homers and 21 RBI. Fittingly, Carmichael responded in Sunday's win over Campbell going 4-for-5 at the plate with a career-high four runs.

FIRST CALL TO THE PEN
RHP Daniel Lingle ranks fourth in the nation in pitching appearances with 22. Lingle saw his streak of nine straight scoreless outings come to an end on Sunday, though the sophomore does still have a 3.00 ERA in his last 10 games with a .250 BAA.

BACK TO FORM
RHP Carter Lovasz got a nine-out save to clinch Saturday's victory over Campbell. The senior has allowed one run over his last eight innings, including 12 strikeouts and just two hits.

CARDIAC TRIBE
W&M has 12 come-from-behind wins this year out of 16 total dubs. The Tribe has won four games in which they trailed by at least four runs, in addition to three walk-off victories.
