BRIDGEPORT, W. Va.—The William & Mary men's golf team wrapped up its regular season at the WVU Mountaineer Invitational on Tuesday at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W. Va.
The Tribe finished in 15
th place, firing scores of 301-322-321. No. 4 Oklahoma State was the team champion with an even-par total of 864.
The top finisher for W&M was
Max Johnson, who came in with a 15-over-par total over the 54 holes at the Pete Dye Golf Club. Johnson shot an even-par 72 in the opening round before scores of 79 and 80 over the final 36 holes, which were split over Monday and Tuesday due to weather delays. The graduate student finished T-33.
Logan Hunter was next on the docket for the Tribe with scores of 76-80-84. Hunter came in a tie for 74
th.
The W&M lineup was rounded out by
Camden Goldknopf (T-80, 78-85-78),
Luke Walmet (T-85, 75-84-83) and
Preston Burton (T-85, 83-79-80).
The Tribe will begin its postseason at the CAA Championships at Union League National GC in New Jersey with play contested Sunday-Tuesday.
