GREENWOOD, Ind. — The William & Mary swimming teams had eight student-athletes named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Honored on the men's side was Jasha Heide, Aiden Bond, Colin Mamaril, and Brock Rempe. The women's honorees included Devin Genderson, Sophia Heilen, Erin Langenburg, and Flynn Truskett.
Heide had a 3.83 GPA as a major in Computational & Applied Math & Stats. Bond majored in Accounting where he posted a 3.92 GPA. In the pool, Bond was a podium finisher in the 200 freestyle at the CAA Championships. Mamaril had a 3.84 GPA studying Kinesiology & Health Sciences, and Rempe posted a 3.75 GPA as a Finance major.
Genderson earned the highest GPA on the team with a 3.98 mark majoring in Neuroscience. Heilen excelled both in the classroom and in the pool, earning a 3.90 GPA in Data Science while winning the 200 breaststroke at the CAA Championships. She was also the runner-up in the 200 IM.
Langenburg had a 3.88 GPA in Biology, while Truskett cumulated a 3.93 GPA as a Finance major. Truskett was a key part of helping the Tribe women's team finish second at the conference championships, winning the 100 freestyle and leading the 200 free relay and 400 free relay to gold medals.
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have competed in four competitions or finish top eight at the conference meet. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
