WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— The William & Mary women's golf team protected home turf, hosting N.C. Central in a match play event at the Kingsmill River Course on Friday afternoon, winning 4.0-2.0.
The Tribe won a trio of matches outright while also tying two matches for a half a point.
Simone Senk earned a 1-up victory while
Faith Garcia and
Samantha Skinner each earned 2&1 victories for W&M to earn full points.
Avery Thompson and
Jennifer Osborne tied their matches to earn half points and clinch the victory for the Tribe.
W&M will return to action again at Kingsmill for the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on March 24-25.
