After earning a 37-7 victory against UAlbany last weekend, W&M enters Saturday's contest with a 5-4 overall record and a 4-2 mark in conference play. Led by quarterback
Tyler Hughes who ranks fourth in the CAA in passing efficiency (149.2), the Tribe is averaging 30.5 points per game during the last six contests and leads the nation in fewest turnovers (3). Running back
Rashad Raymond has also come up big and ranks ninth in the CAA with 59.0 rushing yards per game. Defensively, W&M has forced at least one turnover in 17 of the last 19 contests, while linebacker
Luke Banbury ranks fifth nationally in tackles per game (11.3). Additionally, the Tribe's entire special teams unit was honored as the Stats Perform National Special Teams Players of the Week after recording three blocked punts that resulted in safeties and scoring a touchdown with a fake field goal in last week's victory.
Having lost four of its last five games, Campbell comes off its open week with a 2-7 overall record and a 2-3 mark in CAA play. Despite the record, three of the Camels losses have come by no more than a touchdown. Although CU ranks near the bottom of the conference in scoring defense (37.1), it is third in the league in rushing defense (126.9). Quarterback Kamden Sixkiller has thrown for 1,492 yards with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions, while Randall King is averaging 80.8 receiving yards per game with five touchdowns. Logan Livermon leads the squad with 56 tackles, while DaVonyae Pettis has totaled a team-high 3.5 sacks and 8.0 TFL.
Saturday's game will mark the fourth meeting between W&M and Campbell, as the Tribe has won all three previous matchups. Two of the three meetings have been decided by double digits, including W&M's lone trip to Buies Creek, 34-24, in 2023.
