WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After earning an impressive 22-15 victory against Delaware State in its home opener on Saturday, the William & Mary football team moved up in both national polls this week.
W&M jumped to No. 16 in the
Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and the
AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25 Poll.
With the win against DSU, W&M improved to 2-0 overall and remains 1-0 in conference play.
En route to earning the pair of wins, which includes a season-opening triumph at then-No. 8/7 Villanova, W&M has generated 10 turnovers – a figure that leads the nation. Additionally, the Tribe ranks first in the country in turnover margin (+8).
W&M will look to remain unbeaten when it plays at No. 9/8 Lehigh on Saturday at 2 p.m.
