WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary football team will look to secure its fifth consecutive winning season when it concludes its conference slate at Hampton on Saturday at 1 p.m. The contest will also be W&M's final CAA contest, as it will join the Patriot League next season as an associate member.

Having won four of its last five games, W&M enters Saturday's contest with a 6-4 overall record and a 5-2 mark in conference play. Led by quarterback
Tyler Hughes who ranks third in the CAA in passing efficiency (148.0) and has not thrown an interception in his last 262 passing attempts (school record), the Tribe is averaging 30.4 points per game during the last seven contests and leads the nation in fewest turnovers (4). Additionally, W&M is coming off a tremendous performance offensively in last week's win at Campbell when it posted a season-high 505 yards of total offense. Defensively, W&M has forced at least one turnover in 18 of the last 20 contests, while linebacker
Luke Banbury ranks fifth nationally in tackles per game (11.3).
Currently on a four-game losing streak, Hampton owns a 2-8 overall record and a 0-6 mark in CAA play. HU's wins have come against Elizabeth City State (33-30) and Norfolk State (41-34). Braden Davis has handled the majority of the quarterbacking duties and completed 90-of-146 passes for 970 yards with four touchdowns and seven interceptions, while Jah'Kei Chavis leads the Pirates in rushing with 351 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Harold O'Neal III has totaled a team-high 101 tackles with 7.0 TFL.
Saturday's game between W&M and Hampton will mark the 11th meeting between the two programs, as the Tribe has won all 10 of previous matchups. The Tribe is 5-0 versus the Pirates at Armstrong Stadium and earned a 49-7 win at home last season.
