- W&M opens the season at home for the fourth-straight season. The Tribe is 64-56 (.533) all-time in season openers and 49-19 (.721) when those openers come at home. W&M is 27-7 (.794) in season openers inside Kaplan Arena.
- The Green and Gold is 18-4 in it last 22 home openers. The Tribe is 84-34 (.712) all-time in home openers and 41-14 (.745) in home openers inside Kaplan Arena.
- Monday's match-up with Georgian Court marks the 18th year in the last 19 that the Tribe has faced a non-Division I opponent. Over that stretch, W&M has won those games by an average margin of 42.2 points. The Tribe has scored at a 93.8 points per game clip in those contests.
- W&M was picked fourth in the preseason CAA poll by vote of the league head coaches in early October. It marks the highest W&M has been selected in the preseason since it was also fourth in 2018-19. The 2025 CAA regular season champion Towson was the preseason favorite to win the league just ahead of reigning CAA Tournament Champion UNCW and Charleston.
- Senior
Chase Lowe, a two-year starter, was one of five players named to the Preseason All-CAA Second Team, while senior
Kyle Pulliam was one of seven selected to the honorable mention list. Lowe has started 52 of his 61 appearances over the last two seasons and owns career averages of 8.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. Pulliam is the Tribe's top returning scorer at 9.9 points per game.
- Five the Tribe's seven returning players are seniors. Along with Lowe and Pulliam,
Finn Lally (3.4 ppg, 1.7 rpg),
Kyle Frazier (4.7 ppg, 34 3FGM), and
Miles Hicks (55 career games) return this season for the Tribe.
- The Tribe added a veteran presence in the transfer portal as well, bringing in three graduate transfers (
Cade Haskins,
Jo'el Emanuel, and
Jhei-R Jones), two juniors (
Kilian Brockhoff and Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi) and two junior college transfers (
Ethan Connery and
Reese Miller). In total, the group has played 347 games at NCAA schools with 162 starts and totaled 2,315 points, 1,103 rebounds, 463 assists, and 316 3-pointers. Both junior college transfers were all-region selections last season.
- The trio of graduate transfers have a track record of scoring in college. Emanuel was a double-digit scorer and averaged over five rebounds per game in his final two seasons at Farleigh Dickinson. He owns 823 points over his D1 career. Jones averaged in double figures in three of his four seasons prior to W&M and has 1,452 career points (11.8 per game) between his D2 and JC stops. Haskins nearly averaged double figures (9.6 per game) last season in helping Dartmouth to a spot in the Ivy League Tournament.
- Brockhoff and Fasai both bring international experience to the Tribe this season. Brockhoff played for the German U16, U18 and U20 National teams. He averaged 12.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game at the 2022 FIBA European Championships in helping Germany to a silver medal. Fasai competed for Sweden's U18 and U20 National Teams. He averaged 19.4 points per game for the U18 National Team and scored 29 points in the 2022 FIBA European semifinals on his way to making the tournament all-star team.
- W&M enjoyed a 7.5-game improvement in its record in 2024-25, which ranked among the national leaders. It was the fifth-best single-season improvement in school history and the best since 2012-13. The Tribe's 17 wins last season ranked 12th in program history.
- Last season, the Tribe ranked third nationally in % of field goal attempts from 3-point range (51.5%), fifth in 3-pointers attempted per game (30.0), 13th in % of points scored on 3-pointers (40%), and 15th in 3-pointers made per game (10.5). W&M hit 336 triples in 2024-25, which ranked second in school history.
- The Tribe was one of the fastest paced teams in the country last season, ranking third nationally in fastest average length of possession on offense (14.9 seconds) and 18th nationally in adjusted tempo (71.5 possessions per 40 minutes). As a results, W&M was 16th in the country in fast-break points (14.4).
- 2025 W&M alums
Gabe Dorsey (Slovakia),
Caleb Dorsey (Slovakia), and
Matteus Case (Portugal) signed professional contracts in Europe. In total, 10 former Tribe standouts are playing professionally overseas, including Miguel Ayesa (Spain), David Cohn (Germany), Nathan Knight (South Korea), Anders Nelson (Romania), Terry Tarpey (France), Marcus Thornton (Romania), and Andy Van Vliet (Germany).
- W&M alum Daniel Dixon '17 was named the head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder in August. Dixon, who was an All-CAA First Team selection in 2017, won an NBA Championship as an assistant coach with the OKC Thunder last season. In 2024, he won an NBA G-League Championship as an assistant with the Blue.
