Women's Golf Has Final Round Rained Out at Elon Invitational

BURLINGTON, N.C.—The William & Mary women's golf team finished the Elon Invitational with a 13th place finish after Tuesday's final round was canceled due to weather.
 
W&M shot a 36-hole total of 621 (302-319) at the Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C. Charleston Southern finished on top of the 14-team field with a 591 team total.
 
The Tribe was led by Katie Suk's T-34 finish. The sophomore posted scores of 74-80 over the 36 holes on Monday, cashing in on four birdies.
 
Right behind Suk were teammates Jennifer Osborne and Samantha Skinner in T-39. The duo posted a matching total of 155, 13-over, both shooting 76 in the opening round and a 79 on Monday afternoon.
 
Avery Thompson also posted a 76 in the opening round before a 81 in the afternoon. Thompson's 157 total landed her in a tie for 50th.
 
The Tribe is next in action at the Pirate Collegiate Classic in Greenville, N.C. on Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
