WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary lacrosse team will conclude its home slate when it hosts Drexel for Senior Day at Martin Family Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Following the contest, W&M will honor its eight seniors –

Admission is free. William & Mary Athletics, in conjunction with the William & Mary Police Department, has implemented a clear bag policy that regulates the size and type of bag that may be carried into W&M Athletics facilities during the 2023-24 year, including Busch Field, Kaplan Arena, Martin Family Stadium, Plumeri Park, and Zable Stadium. A Look at the Tribe
W&M enters Sunday's game with a 4-11 overall record and a 0-6 mark in conference play.
Paige Gilbert leads the Tribe with a team-high 32 points (29g, 3a) to go with 46 draw controls.
Kate Draddy has also come up big with 26 points (15g, 11a), 61 draw controls and 24 ground balls. She ranks fifth in the CAA with 4.0 draw controls per game. Defensively,
Jaylin Locke has posted a team-high 15 caused turnovers with 22 ground balls.
Scouting Drexel
Despite losing in its last outing versus Stony Brook, Drexel has won six of its last seven games and owns a 10-4 overall record and a 5-1 mark in CAA action. Corinne Bednarik leads the Dragons with 75 points (47g, 28a) and ranks second in the CAA with 5.3 points per game, while she has also totaled a team-high 56 draw controls. Goalie Jenika Cuocco leads the CAA with a .571 save percentage and is allowing just 8.8 goals per contest.

Last Meeting vs. Drexel
W&M had its three-game winning streak snapped with a 13-7 setback at Drexel on March 25, 2023. W&M trailed by just one, 5-4, midway through the second quarter, but Drexel held the Tribe scoreless for a span of more than 21 minutes to pull ahead, 10-4. The Tribe narrowed the margin to four early in the fourth quarter, 11-7, on
Sam Van Gieson's second goal of the half, but it was unable to get any closer during the remainder of the contest. Goalie

Last Time Out
W&M fell at Elon, 18-11, on Sunday afternoon. The Tribe trailed by just one goal, 8-7, midway through the third quarter following a score by
Ainsley Huizenga, but Elon utilized an 8-1 run to pull away for the conference victory.
Chloe Pierini and
Sophia Chiodo Ortiz led W&M offensively, as both standouts recorded their first career hat tricks with three goals apiece. Huizenga also came up big with a team-high four points (2g, 2a), while
Paige Gilbert posted four draw controls and three ground balls to go with an assist.

W&M is closing in on a pair of the program's single-season top-10 lists. The Tribe has totaled 181 draw controls and needs just 27 more to break into the top 10, while its 148 saves is just 11 shy of moving into the team's record book.

Kate Draddy currently ranks third on W&M's single-season list for draw controls (61). She needs just eight more to pass
Sarah Cipolla for second. Additionally,

Caroline Hertzberg currently ranks 10th all-time at W&M in draw controls (104), while her 51 career caused turnovers is just one shy of moving into the program's all-time top-10 list.
Courtney Vasquenza is also closing in on W&M's top-10 list for caused turnovers with 41.
