- After opening the CAA slate against Elon back on Jan. 4, W&M will play its penultimate league contest at the Phoenix on Thursday night. The Tribe has won four of the last five meetings between the schools, including 77-70 in Williamsburg earlier this season. Since Elon joined the CAA in 2014-15, W&M is 15-8 against the Phoenix.
- Thursday night is the Tribe's seventh game on Leap Day. W&M previously won Leap Day games in 1984, 56-47 over JMU, and the last one on Senior Day in 2020 over Elon, 86-79, in Kaplan Arena. The Tribe previously played on Leap Day in 1924, 1952, 1968, 1984, 1992 and 2020.
- Seven of the Tribe's 12 scholarship players have missed at least five games this season due to injury. In total, those seven players have combined to miss 106 games in 2023-24. Five of the seven have started this season. Since Dec. 1, the Tribe has played eight games with just seven available scholarship players.
- Sophomore
Chase Lowe is one of five players in the CAA to rank among the top 25 in the league in scoring, rebounding and assists. His numbers have been even better in CAA play at 12.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Lowe is one of 40 players nationally, as of Feb. 27, to average 12 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He has four doubles-doubles on the year and two in league play.
- The Tribe turned in one of its best defensive performances of the year against the CAA's top offense in Charleston on Feb. 19. The Cougars entered the game as the league's top scoring team (83 ppg in CAA play) and most efficient offense (1.20 points per possession). W&M held CofC to 0.94 points per possession and a league low of 65 points. The Cougars also shot their lowest field goal % of 37.2% in league action.
- Over the last eight games, W&M has made an impact on the offensive glass, averaging 12.5 offensive rebounds per contest with an offensive rebounding % of 32.3. The Tribe turned in its top two offensive rebounding totals of the season in February with 19 at Monmouth (Feb. 8) and 17 against Towson (Feb. 15). The 19 offensive rebounds at Monmouth are the most in a CAA game this season and the most for the Tribe against a DI opponent since the 2010 regular-season finale when it had 21 vs. Towson.
- Sophomore
Trey Moss has led the Tribe in scoring in five of the last six games, averaging 16.7 per contest during the stretch. He has a team-leading five 20-point games this season. Moss has scored in double figures in 23 of the Tribe's 29 games and ranks 12th in the CAA at 13.6 points per game. Earlier this season, he had a career-high 22 points against Drexel on Jan. 6.

Gabe Dorsey moved into third on the Tribe's single-season 3-pointers made list with 93. That number also ranks eighth nationally. He is just six 3-pointers shy of second and nine away from the school record of 102 held by Marcus Thornton (2014-15). Dorsey ranks 10th on the Tribe's career 3-pointers made list with 169 over his two seasons.
- The Tribe has connected on double-digit 3-pointers in 10 games this season. The Green and Gold ranks 24th nationally in 3-pointers attempted (27.1) and 76th in 3-pointers made per game (8.5). In total, 46.8% of the Tribe's field goal attempts come from 3-point range and 36.7% of its scoring comes on 3-point field goals. Those numbers rank 19th and 37th nationally, according to KenPom.com.
- Lowe is one of the best in the country at getting to the free throw line. According to KenPom.com, he is 30th nationally in free throw rate (68.6) and 50th in the country in drawing fouls at 6.2 per 40 minutes. Lowe has made 113 free throws on the season, which ranks fifth in the CAA and 91st nationally.

Gabe Dorsey continues to be one of the top shooters in the country. After ranking fourth in the country in 3-point % last season, he is currently 13th in 3-pointers per game (3.2), as of Feb. 27. Dorsey is shooting 36% from distance this season, which ranks fifth in the CAA and 70th nationally.
- Nathan Knight, who was the 2020 National Mid-Major Player of the Year, signed an NBA 2-way deal with the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics this season and is currently with the Motor City Cruise in the NBA G-League. He has played three years in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Atlanta Hawks. Knight is the third W&M player, joining Marcus Thornton (Cleveland Cavaliers 10-day contract in 2018) and Daniel Dixon (Boston Celtics preseason Exhibit 10 deal in 2017) to sign an NBA deal since 2017.
- Along with Knight in the NBA G-League, seven other former Tribe standouts are playing professionally in overseas -
Anders Nelson (Starwings in Switzerland), Andy Van Vliet (Trefl Sopot in Poland), Justin Pierce (Veertien Mie in Japan), David Cohn (VfL SparkassenStars Bochum in Germany), Omar Prewitt (Tofas Bursa in Turkey), Marcus Thornton (Lavrio in Greece), and Terry Tarpey (AS Monaco in France).
- A trio of former W&M players are currently on coaching staffs in the NBA and NBA G-League. Jim Moran '01 is the head coach of the Rip City Remix, which is the G-League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers. Sean Sheldon '16 is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Utah Jazz. Daniel Dixon '17 is an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G-League program of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
