TRIBE NOTES

• The Matchup
William & Mary wraps a stretch of three consecutive games on the road when they visit Campbell on Sunday. The Tribe looks to continue their best CAA start in program history, currently 8-3.

• The Opponent

Campbell's CAA record of 5-6 can be slightly misleading, as they are statistically strong at both ends of the floor. The Camels rank second and fourth in the conference in FG% and 3FG%, while also being tops in the league in scoring defense and 3FG% defense. They take on Monmouth Friday before hosting the Tribe.

• Last Time Out
Cassidy Geddes led the Tribe in scoring for the second consecutive game, putting up 19 against Hampton in a 65-55 win. Nylah Young scored 12 with nine rebounds, with eight of those points coming in the final quarter, as she made her return to Hampton after transferring to W&M from the Pirates' program this year. The Tribe trailed by 10 in the middle of the second frame to bounce back for the win.

•A Historical Super Sunday
While many had their focus on the gridiron on Super Bowl Sunday, the Tribe was setting program history at Hampton. The 10-point win over their fellow 757 foe puts W&M at 8-3 in league play, the best start through 11 conference games in program history. Coach Erin Dickerson Davis also put her name in the record books following the win. The second year head coach became the quickest to 20 conference wins in W&M program history. Davis' 30 career wins in 53 games also made her the fastest Tribe coach to 30 overall wins since 1929.

• Not Bad, Rook

Cassidy Geddes earned her first conference award of her young college career, being named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday. Geddes scored 20 against Delaware on Friday before putting up 19 at Hampton. 32 of the guard's 39 points on the weekend came in the second half, including a 3-pointer with 36 seconds left to propel the Tribe to a 62-58 win against the Hens. Geddes has scored in double figures 10 times this year.

•Diaper Dandies
Geddes wasn't the only freshman who had an impact in the Sunday win over the Pirates. The three W&M rookies combined for 36 of the Tribe's 65 points, with Cate Carlson scoring nine and Monet Dance a career-high eight behind Geddes' 19. Both Dance and Carlson played career-high minutes (26 and 20), with Carlson setting a new career mark in rebounds with seven. It was the first time this year all three saw significant time on the floor at the same time.

• Top-10 Efforts
A pair of William & Mary players currently rank in the top-10 spanning five different statistical categories. Nylah Young ranks first in FT% (91.1), third in FG% (42.9), fifth in FTM (82) and eighth in points per game (14.4). Cassidy Geddes also cracks the top-10 in steals per game (1.7) through 11 CAA games. Young currently ranks ninth in the nation in FT% as well.

• Taking the Show on the Road
After playing three straight at home, the Tribe is in the midst of a stretch where they will play five of seven games away from Kaplan Arena. W&M has been comfortable on the road this season though, going 8-4 away from home this year and 5-1 in such games in CAA play.

•Analytically Speaking
William & Mary currently sits third in the CAA in assists per game but are tops in the league and 38th in the nation in assist percentage according to the Warren Nolan analytics site. 62.2% of the Tribe's baskets have been assisted this year. W&M is also one of four teams in the CAA in the top-55 in the country in defensive rating, clocking in at 53rd.

• A Fresh Face and Place
The Tribe will be playing at Campbell for the first time in program history on Sunday with the school's previous two meetings being at W&M and a neutral site. Campbell, new to the CAA last year, hasn't played W&M since 2007. It will be the second consecutive year W&M will play at a new true road venue after playing at Stony Brook for the first time last season.

• Competing on the Glass
Although the Tribe are not a statistically dominate team on the glass, there is no doubt they have improved their efforts on the boards from a year ago. W&M has already outrebounded their opponent 11 times this year compared to just four times all of last year. They have a 9-2 record when doing so this season.

• Protecting the Rock
W&M has won the turnover battle in 11 of the last 14 games and have a 9-5 record when doing so this season.

• 60 is the Magic Number
The Tribe has held their opponents under 60 points in nine of their 12 wins this season, while opponents have scored over 60 in eight of the nine W&M losses. The Tribe is 16-3 under Erin Dickerson Davis when holding teams below 60. While team's have had a mixed bag of success scoring in the 60s vs. W&M, opponents are 25-4 against them when scoring 70+ since 2020-21.

• Formidable Opponents
William & Mary's non-conference slate was set up to be a challenging one and proved to be. The seven teams who beat the Tribe owned a combined record of 62-18 in the non-conference.
