| Box Score 3 WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary sophomore Oliver Hague won five matches over the three days of the UTR tournament at the Kingsmill Tennis Club on his way to claiming the event title.
 
It was an all William & Mary Sunday in the singles semifinals and championship. Hague downed freshman teammate Gur Trakhtenberg, 7-6 (3), 6-2, in the final.
 
Earlier in the day, Hague advanced to the finals with a 6-2, 6-2 over freshman Raz Katz, while Trakhtenberg downed senior teammate Sean Joseph, 6-1, 6-0, in the other semifinal.
 
Hague's route to the title included wins over Norfolk State's Luka Cvjetkovic (6-4, 6-1) and Christopher Newport's Edvard Hansen (6-3, 6-3) in the opening two matches. His toughest test came on Saturday in the quarterfinals against teammate Alexander Karman when he rallied for a three-set win, 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.
 
Trakhtenberg won in straight-sets in his first two matches of the tournament, downing Justin Harris, 6-0, 6-0, and Christopher Newport's Ashton Legum, 6-3, 6-3. The Tribe rookie rallied from a set deficit to defeat sophomore teammate Nikita Bortnichek, 2-6, 6-1, 10-5, in the quarterfinals.
 
In total, the Tribe held down six of the eight quarterfinal spots. Katz, Joseph, Bortnichek, and Karman joined the group in the quarters. Katz and Joseph each posted a trio of straight-set victories over the opening two days to earn a spot in Sunday's semifinals. Karman and Bortnichek notched straight-sets wins in the opening two rounds to garnered berths in the quarterfinals.
 
In doubles, Karman and junior Albert Hansen won two matches to earn a spot in the championship. The Tribe pair topped Mary Washington's Trevor Rein and John Riordan, 6-1, in the quarterfinals, before downing Sam Dively and Bortnichek, 6-3, in the semifinals on Saturday.
 
Karman and Hansen's run came to an end at the hands of Evan Fisher and Rishi Charan Shankar in narrow fashion, 7-5, in the championship on Sunday.
