- W&M opens the CAA slate at home for the second time in the last three years. In fact, the Tribe will play four of its first five league games inside Kaplan Arena this season. W&M has won its last three CAA openers at home. The Tribe has won seven of its last 11 league openers and is 17-22 all-time in its first CAA games.
- The Tribe opens CAA play against Elon for the second time in the last five years. W&M downed the Phoenix, 74-73, in North Carolina during the 2019-20 season. The Green and Gold is 2-2 under head coach

- W&M and Elon met three times over a 22-day stretch at the end of the 2023 season with the Tribe winning at home in February, 73-60, and in the opening round of the CAA Tournament, 73-51. W&M has won three of the last four against Elon.
- The Tribe ranks 35th nationally in 3-pointers made per game (9.5) and 23rd in 3-pointers attempted (27.7). In total, 48% of the Tribe's field goal attempts come from 3-point range and 37.3% of its scoring comes on 3-point field goals. Those numbers ranks 11th and 37th nationally, according to KenPom.com. W&M has made double-digit 3-pointers on five occasions, including 18 at George Washington on Nov. 11. It was the third most in program history and the most for a CAA program against a DI opponent since 2020.
- The Tribe has used the free throw line to its advantage this season. W&M ranks second in the CAA in free throws made per game (16.2) and free throw % (74.2). The Tribe is 60th nationally in % and 62nd in free throws made. W&M owns three of the top free throw shooters in the league.
Gabe Dorsey leads the league at 95.1%, which is also eighth nationally. Moss (75%) and Lowe (73%) rank 14th and 15th, respectively.
- After a slow start to the 2023-24 season, junior
Caleb Dorsey started to come into his own at the end of non-conference play. Over the last five games, he is averaging 14.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. Included in that stretch, he posted double-doubles at Richmond (13 points and 10 rebounds) and against VUL (career-highs of 20 points and 13 rebounds). On the year, he leads the team and ranks ninth in the CAA in rebounding (6.4).

Gabe Dorsey continues to be one of the top shooters in the country. After ranking fourth in the country in 3-point % last season, he is currently seventh nationally in 3-pointers per game (3.6) and total 3's made (47), as of Jan. 2. Dorsey is shooting 42.7% from distance this season, which ranks second in the CAA and 31st nationally.
- Sophomore
Chase Lowe has made a significant impact in his second season, averaging 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. He is one of four players in the CAA to rank in the top 25 in all three categories. Lowe is 21st in the league in scoring, 15th in rebounding, and 19th in assists. He tallied a career-high 22 in the win over UMBC on Nov. 25 and had 19 points at Navy on Dec. 30.
- Sophomore
Charlie Williams produced back-to-back 20-point efforts, the first two of his W&M career, at the start of December. Following a team-high 21 points at Richmond on Dec. 2, he bettered his career mark with 23 in the win over ODU. He knocked down five 3-pointers in both contests. Williams has scored in double figures on five occasions this season and averaged 13 points per game in five contests during the month of December.
- Sophomore
Trey Moss has demonstrated his ability to score during his first season with the Tribe. On three occasions this season, he has scored a career-high 20 points, including W&M's win over Old Dominion on Dec. 6. Moss ranks 13th in the CAA at 13.6 points per game. He previously scored 20 points on the road at Air Force and Norfolk State. Moss just missed a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists vs. VUL on Dec. 10.
- 2020 graduate Nathan Knight, who was the National Mid-Major Player of the Year in 2020, signed an NBA 2-way deal with the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics prior to the start of the season and is currently with the Motor City Cruise in the NBA G-League. He has played 108 games over his three-year NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Atlanta Hawks. Knight is the third W&M player, joining Marcus Thornton (Cleveland Cavaliers 10-day contract in 2018) and Daniel Dixon (Boston Celtics preseason Exhibit 10 deal in 2017) to sign an NBA deal since 2017.
- A trio of former W&M players are currently on coaching staffs in the NBA and NBA G-League. Jim Moran '01 is the head coach of the Rip City Remix, which is the G-League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers. Sean Sheldon '16 is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Utah Jazz. Daniel Dixon '17 is an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G-League program of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
