TRIBE NOTES

Last Time Out
The Tribe was last in action last Saturday when they battled then No. 24 ranked Hofstra. W&M (2-6-1, 1-2-0) fought hard but conceded a late goal to lose the road contest 2-1. All the scoring took place in the second half, with Ian Krajna pulling the Tribe even in the 68th minute. Cole McNally made six saves for W&M. Hofstra is now ranked 19th in the country.

Be The Match
Saturday's contest serves as the 'Be The Match' game for the Tribe in conjunction with the National Marrow Donor Program. Be The Match boasts the most diverse marrow registry in the world, working ever day to save lives through transplant. The event has even greater meaning for the Tribe, with sophomore Webb Kosich getting a bone marrow transplant from his sister to help battle aplastic anemia. Read more about his story here. Learn more here about Be The Match and donate to the cause.

Turning Back the Clock
William & Mary will honor the 1983 men's soccer team at halftime on Saturday. Former coach, Al Albert, led the team to a 14-6-2 record while also gong 10-1 at home. The squad won five of their last six regular season contests to earn a trip to the ECAC South Championship final. The Tribe beat George Mason 4-3 in overtime to claim the title and earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament, falling to Virginia 2-1 in the opening round.

Protecting MFS
The Tribe come into Saturday's match with a 2-3 record at home with three games remaining at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field. W&M will be looking to avoid a losing record at home for the first time in a full season since 2014. Their remaining home contests after Drexel are Charleston (Oct. 14) and Stony Brook (Oct. 27).

Series History
The Tribe have controlled the series over the Dragons to the tune of a 16-6-1 record in the previous 23 meetings. Drexel won last year's meeting in Philadelphia by a score of 4-1 but will be looking for their first win in Williamsburg since 2012. The Tribe is 10-1 all-time against Drexel at Martin Family Stadium.

Scouting the Dragons
Drexel comes into Saturday's matchup with a 5-1-2 record with a 2-1-1 mark in the CAA. The Dragons sit in second in the CAA table with seven points. They picked up a non-conference win against NJIT on Tuesday, picking up a 1-0 win against Elon in their last conference action last Saturday. The Dragons only loss of the year was to Charleston in the conference opener. Julian Jordheim and Dominick Bachstein each have three goals on the season to lead Drexel. Alessandro Capogna has made 24 saves and only allowed three goals in seven starts.
