RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary men's soccer freshman forward Brown Huffard was named the CAA Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league announced Monday.
Huffard has claimed the conference's first two Rookie of the Week awards of the 2026 season after finding the back of the net in the Tribe's 1-1 draw at Elon on Sunday.
The McLean, Va., native wasted little time making an impact in his first career CAA match, scoring just 1:35 into the contest to give William & Mary an early 1-0 advantage. Huffard finished the match with two shots, placing both on goal.
The goal was Huffard's second of the season, moving him into a tie for the team lead. Through the first four matches of his collegiate career, the freshman has totaled five points on two goals and an assist.
Huffard earned his first CAA Rookie of the Week honor last Monday after recording three points in W&M's 4-1 victory over Radford. He scored his first collegiate goal in the 26th minute before adding his first career assist on Alex Garrison's game-winning goal early in the second half.
William & Mary returns home Saturday, Sept. 5, hosting College of Charleston in CAA action at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
