WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary lacrosse team will conclude its conference road slate when it plays at Monmouth on Saturday at 11 a.m.

With just two games remaining in the regular season, both teams enter the pivotal contest tied for fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association standings with Delaware.

A Look at the Tribe
W&M enters Saturday's game with a 7-7 overall record and a 2-3 mark in conference play.
Sam Van Gieson leads the Tribe with 22 points (17g, 5a), while
Sarah Cipolla (17g, 4a) and
Maresa Moyer (15g, 3a) have also come up big offensively. Cipolla's stat line also includes a team-high 57 draw controls, which ranks tied for third on W&M's single-season list.
Defensively,
Caroline Hertzberg has posted team highs in caused turnovers (15) and ground balls (29), while she ranks second on the team in draw controls (36). Goalie
Elise Palmer ranks tied for third in the CAA in saves per game (7.93).
Scouting Monmouth
Despite having lost three of its last four games, Monmouth currently owns an 8-7 overall record and a 2-3 record in league action. Caroline Brennan leads the Hawks with 50 points (33g, 17a), while Mya Brock (27g, 13a) and Cassidy Orban (26g, 12a) have also contributed offensively. Orban has also totaled a team-high 80 draw controls.
Defensively, Brianna Falco has recorded a team-highs in caused turnovers (25) and ground balls (43) to go with 50 draw controls.

Last Time Out
W&M fell at No. 6 Stony Brook, 20-6, last Saturday. The Tribe owned an early 2-1 advantage after goals by
Sam Van Gieson and
Sydney Witwer, but SBU utilized an 11-0 run to build a comfortable advantage. After trailing 14-3 at halftime, W&M was outscored by just three in the second half.
Record Watch
In addition to becoming W&M's career record holder for draw controls (166) this spring,
Sarah Cipolla's 57 draw controls this season ranks tied for third in the program's record book. She needs just two more to move into second and 22 more to tie the record (79).
Caroline Hertzberg also etched her name in W&M's record book, as her 98 career draw controls ranks 10th in school history. Additionally, her 49 career caused turnovers is just three shy of moving into the program's all-time top-10 list.
Caroline Donovan is also closing in on the program's all-time top-10 list with 47 caused turnovers.
CAA Weekly Honors
Four Tribe standouts have earned weekly awards from the CAA this season, as
Elise Palmer Defensive Player of the Week, March 20),
Maresa Moyer (Rookie of the Week, March 20), Kate
Draddy Rookie of the Week, Feb. 27) and Justyce (Player of the Week, April 3) have all garnered distinction.

Seven different W&M players have scored at least 10 goals this season, which is tied for the most in the CAA.

In addition to being 2-0 in overtime games this season, W&M is 4-0 in games decided by just one goal.
