A Look at the Tribe
W&M enters Saturday's game with a 7-6 record overall and a 2-2 mark in conference play. The Tribe is coming off an exciting 10-9 victory against George Washington and has won five of its last seven games.
Sam Van Gieson leads W&M with 20 points (16g, 4a), while
Sarah Cipolla (16g, 3a) has also come up big offensively. Cipolla's stat line also includes a team-high 56 draw controls, which ranks fifth on W&M's single-season list.
Defensively,
Caroline Hertzberg has posted team highs in caused turnovers (15) and ground balls (27), while she ranks second on the team in draw controls (30). Goalie
Elise Palmer ranks third in the CAA in saves per game (8.0).
Scouting Stony Brook
Despite suffering a 12-7 setback at Rutgers in its last outing on Wednesday, No. 6 Stony Brook owns a 9-3 overall record and a 4-0 mark in conference play. Ellie Masera (46g, 9a) and Kailyn Hart (30g, 19a) lead the Seawolves offensively, while Masera has also totaled team highs in draw controls (65) and ground balls (28).
Defensively, Haley Dillon has totaled a team-best 17 caused turnovers, while goalie Hailey Duchnowski owns a 8.58 goals against average.

Last Time Out
W&M concluded its non-conference slate with an exciting 10-9 comeback victory against George Washington at Martin Family Stadium on Wednesday evening. After trailing by as many as five in the second quarter, W&M held the Colonials scoreless during the entire second half to secure the triumph. Goalie
Marin Wilhelm entered the contest at the beginning of the third quarter and posted six saves en route to recording the second half shutout.
Maresa Moyer led a balanced offensive attack with three goals, while
Paige Gilbert added a pair of goals.
Record Watch
In addition to becoming W&M's career record holder for draw controls (165) this spring,
Sarah Cipolla's 56 draw controls this season ranks fifth in the program's record book. She needs just three more to move into second and 23 more to tie the record (79).
With 49 career caused turnovers,
Caroline Hertzberg needs just three more to move into the program's all-time top-10 list. Additionally, with 92 career draw controls Hertzberg needs just three more to move into W&M's all-time top 10.
Carolina Donovan is also closing in on the program's all-time top-10 list with 46 caused turnovers.
CAA Weekly Honors
Four Tribe standouts have earned weekly awards from the CAA this season, as
Elise Palmer Defensive Player of the Week, March 20),
Maresa Moyer (Rookie of the Week, March 20), Kate
Draddy Rookie of the Week, Feb. 27) and Justyce (Player of the Week, April 3) have all garnered distinction.
