- The Tribe-Huskies series has been a good one over the years with 10 of the 34 all-time meetings being decided by a single possession, including the Tribe's 69-66 win earlier this season. Four of the last seven meetings between the teams have been decided by three or fewer points, and a fifth, last season's CAA Tournament meeting, went to OT.

Ben Wight has enjoyed strong performances in the Tribe's first two games this week. Over that stretch, he is averaging 20.5 points and seven rebounds per game and shooting 60% (15-of-25) from the field. Wight led the Tribe to an upset win over Towson behind 20 points and five. He scored 12 in the second half against the Tigers, including W&M's first eight in the final 20 minutes to help his team erase a seven-point halftime deficit. He scored a game-high 21 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds at Stony Brook. His tip-in with 12 seconds left sent the game to overtime.

Jack Karasinski moved into the Tribe's starting lineup over the last three contests. In his first three collegiate starts, Karasinski is averaging 6.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.7% (5-of-12) from 3-point range. He led the Tribe with a career-high eight rebounds to go with eight points in the win over Towson and followed it up with nine points and five rebounds at Stony Brook.
- The Tribe connected on 10 3-pointers in the win over Towson (2/13), shooting 52.6% from long range. It marked the third time in six games that W&M hit double-digit 3-pointers. The Green and Gold is averaging 9.1 triples per game the last seven, shooting 44.1% (64-of-145) from long range.
- In each of the last three games, the Tribe turned the ball over 10 or fewer times. W&M had a season-low eight turnovers at Elon (2/11). Overall, W&M is averaging just 12.1 turnovers per game in 2022-23, which is a significant improvement from a season ago. The Green and Gold averaged 16.2 turnovers per game in 2021-22, the sixth-worst mark in the country. After not having a single game of 10 or fewer turnovers last season, W&M has 12 such games this season.
- W&M ranks second in the CAA and 40th nationally in 3-point % (37.1). The Tribe is averaging 7.5 3's made per game, which ranks fifth in the CAA. The Tribe's numbers this season are a substantial improvement from the last two seasons, when W&M shot just 30.1% from distance and made 6.4 per game.
- Graduate guard
Anders Nelson has scored 20-plus points on four occasions this season and leads the Tribe in scoring at 11.6 points per contest, which ranks 22nd in the league. He scored a season-high 27 points vs. Stony Brook on Jan. 26 and more impressively was 8-of-8 from the field and 4-of-4 from 3. It marks the most made field goals without a miss for a Tribe player since 2004.

Gabe Dorsey has established himself as one of the top shooters in the country. He ranks ninth nationally in 3-point % (44.4), 18th in 3's per game (3.04) and 23rd in effective FG% (64.2). He leads the CAA in both 3-point % and triples per game. Dorsey's 76 3-pointers this season rank eighth in Tribe history, while his 3.04 per game is third.
- The Tribe averages 20.9 points per game off the bench this season and is outscoring its opponents in bench production (20.9-19.5). The bench scoring average, which ranks fourth in the CAA, is W&M's highest since it averaged 24.5 points per game in 2016-17. The Tribe is also outscoring its opponents in bench points for the first time since 2019-20.

Noah Collier recorded his seventh double-double of the season with career-highs of 22 points and 16 rebounds vs. N.C. A&T on Jan. 21. He ranks third in the CAA and 69th nationally with seven double-doubles. Collier also ranks fourth in the CAA and 76th nationally at 8.2 rebounds per game. He has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in nine games this season.
- Nelson has been a catalyst for W&M's offense. He ranks third in the CAA in assists (4.5) and fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8). His assists per game number is 86th nationally. Nelson is 29th in the country in assist rate (33.7), according to KenPom.com. Assist rate divides the number of assists by the field goals made by the player's teammates while he is on the court.
- Four former Tribe standouts are in the NBA as either a player or a coach. 2020 graduate Nathan Knight, who was the National Mid-Major Player of the Year in 2020, signed a two-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the offseason. He spent last season with the Timberwolves after playing his rookie season with the Atlanta Hawks. Jim Moran '01 is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons, while Sean Sheldon '16 joined the Utah Jazz as an assistant coach this offseason. Daniel Dixon '17 is an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G-League program of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Another nine former Tribe players are currently playing professionally in Europe.
