WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— William & Mary women's basketball will take part in the FIU Thanksgiving Classic in Miami, taking on Tennessee State in the first round on Friday at 2 p.m. The Tribe will then play either FIU or Bryant depending on Friday's results on Sunday at either noon or 2 p.m. The Tribe Sports Network will have a free audio stream of the games.

A New Way to Tune-In
The Tribe Sports Network from Van Wagner will be providing free audio-only broadcasts of all W&M away women's basketball games. Jack Angelucci will be on the call with a pregame show starting at 1:40 p.m. that features a segment with head coach Erin Dickerson Davis. Fans can listen at tribeathletics.com/listenlive.
TRIBE NOTES
• The Matchup
William & Mary travels to South Beach to take on Tennessee State in the FIU Thanksgiving Classic. Bryant and hosts FIU round out the four team field. The matchup will be the first ever between the Tigers and the Tribe. W&M looks to avoid a 0-5 start for the first time in over 10 years.
• The Opponent
Tenessee State enters the FIU Thanksgiving Classic looking for their first win over a DI opponent this season. They took down Wilberforce in their lone win to open the season before losing by 15 or more to Charlotte, Lipscomb and UNC Asheville to make them 1-3 on the year. No Tigers are averaging double figures, Eboni Williams leads the way at 8.8 ppg and 5.0 rpg.
• Last Time Out
The Tribe took on in-state foe Virginia on Nov. 15 in Charlottesville. The Tribe had a chance to cut the Hoos lead to just three with two minutes to go in the third quarter, but after the shot didn't fall UVA closed the game out strong, winning 80-51. Cassidy Geddes had a season high and team high 14 points to lead W&M.
• Nylon Nylah
Nylah Young got off to a historic start through three games of her William & Mary career. The Hampton transfer is second in the nation in points (78) through the first week of the season, only behind Iowa's Caitlin Clark. Young put up 29, 26 and 23 in the first three games, with vs. Mason 23 being part of a double-double with 10 rebs. Young is the first W&M player to start the season with three 20+ point performances in over 25 years.
• The Energizer Bella
Bella Nascimento has been another Tribe transfer who has made her presenece felt early in the season. The former Manhattan Jasper has been in double figures every game this season, but has also set a career-high in minutes multiple times this season. Nascimento has played 33+ minutes in ever game this year. Her finest performance was against George Mason with 18 points and a career-high tying six assists.
• New Foe
Tennessee State is a new opponent for the Tribe, which has been a rarity in recent history. The matchup with the Tigers will be the first time since 2018 that W&M plays a new non-conference foe. They played Hartford in 2018-19 for the first time.
• REBs for KB
Kayla Beckwith has gotten after on the glass for the Tribe through the first four games of the season. Beckwith snagged a career-high 10 rebounds agianst Virginia last week. She has grabbed 6+ rebounds in three of the first four games this year.
•Sharing is Caring
20 of the Tribe's 25 buckets on 11/12 were assisted on against George Mason. W&M hit 20+ helpers for the first time since February 2020, and the first time against a DI non-conference opponent since November of 2019 against Delaware State.
• Record Setting Start for Young
Nylah Young wasted no time getting acclimated in her first ever game in Green and Gold. The Hampton transfer put up 29 points on 9-for-14 shooting. The effort set the mark for most points ever by a Tribe player in a season opener.
