W&M News and Notes
- The Air Force Classic marks the Tribe's first trip to the state of Colorado. W&M meets Lindenwood, who is in its second year transitioning to DI and is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, for the first time.

- W&M is 7-2 all-time against the OVC since it began in 1948. Only three of the Tribe's nine games against the OVC have come in the last 50 years. The Tribe last faced an OVC opponent when it topped Morehead State, 95-84, in Williamsburg in 2019.

- Sophomore Trey Moss has been a consistent scorer in his first season for the Tribe, tallying double figures in each of the first five games of the season. Most recently, he recorded a career-high 20 points, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, in the Tribe's OT setback to Air Force. He ranks 15th in the CAA in scoring, while also coming in 14th in assists (2.8) and 19th in 3-pointers per game (1.8).

- The Tribe outrebounded Air Force on Friday, marking the fourth time in its opening five game that W&M outrebounded its opponents. The Green and Gold had 12 offensive rebounds against the Falcons which led to a 14-4 advantage in second chance points. On the year, W&M ranks fifth in the CAA in rebounding margin (+5.2). The Tribe is averaging 10.6 offensive rebounds and 13.6 second chance points per contest, outscoring its opponents by six points per game in the category.

- W&M owns a balanced scoring attack this season as five Tribe players are scoring in double figures. Only one other time in program history have five Tribe players averaged double-digit and that came in 2017-18. In three of the Tribe's first five games, it has had five players in double figures. Junior Gabe Dorsey leads the team at 15.8 points per game, which ranks 10th in the CAA. Junior Noah Collier is averaging 14 per game followed by Moss (13.4), graduate student Sean Houpt (12.8) and sophomore Chase Lowe (11.6).

- The Tribe has been one of the best free throw shooting team in the CAA over the opening five games. W&M is shooting 74.1% at the charity stripe, which ranks second in the league and 89th nationally. They were a perfect 9-of-9 at GW, the first time a Tribe team has been perfect since 2018.

- After missing the final eight games of 2022-23 due to injury and the first three this year following off-season surgery, junior Noah Collier made an impressive return to the Tribe lineup vs. Omaha in the first game of the Air Force Classic. The 6-8 forward equaled his career-high with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting and topped the team with six rebounds. Collier scored 14 of his 22 points in the first half, including the Tribe's final seven to send W&M to the half with the lead, 40-35, over the Mavs.

- In its game at George Washington, the Tribe knocked down 18 3-pointers, which ranks as the third most in program history. It is the most for a CAA program against a DI opponent since 2020 and the second most for a team nationally against a D1 opponent this season. The Tribe's 44 3-point attempts against GW rank second in school history. Nationally, the Green and Gold ranks 17th, as of Nov. 16, in 3-pointers attempted and 24th in 3-pointers made per game.

- Gabe Dorsey continues to be one of the top shooters in the country. Dorsey is shooting 48.9% (22-of-45) from distance this season and ranks second in the CAA and fifth nationally at 4.4 3-pointers per contest.

- Graduate student Sean Houpt led the Tribe in scoring in back-to-back games vs. American (11/9) and at George Washington (11/11) with 17 points in each. He leads the CAA in free throw shooting at 93.8%, while ranking 18th in scoring (12.8) and 11th in 3-pointers made (2.2)

- W&M turned in one of the top defensive performances in Kaplan Arena history, limiting Regent to a Kaplan Arena record-tying low of 29 points on Nov. 6. W&M also held Catholic to 29 points in 1981. The 29 points marked the best defensive performance since holding Little Creek Amphibious Base to 26 in 1949.

- 2020 graduate Nathan Knight, who was the National Mid-Major Player of the Year in 2020, signed an NBA 2-way deal with the Boston Celtics prior to the start of the season. He has played 108 games over his three-year NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Atlanta Hawks, helping both organizations to the playoffs. Knight is the third W&M player, joining Marcus Thornton (Cleveland Cavaliers 10-day contract in 2018) and Daniel Dixon (Boston Celtics preseason Exhibit 10 deal in 2017) to sign an NBA deal since 2017.

- A trio of former W&M players are currently on coaching staffs in the NBA and NBA G-League.
