Tribe News and Notes
- A victory over Drexel on Friday would clinch a spot in the CAA Tournament for the Tribe. W&M did not qualify for the CAA Tournament last season, finishing in a three-way tie for third but missing out due to tiebreakers. The Tribe previously had qualified for six-straight CAA Tourneys and won the league in 2018.
- The Tribe leads the all-time series with Drexel at 14-9 and have won six of the last seven meetings. The Dragons posted a 1-0 win in OT in Williamsburg last season. W&M is 5-5 all-time in Philadelphia, including wins in each of the last three matches in the City of Brotherly Love. The last game in Philly, W&M topped the Dragons 2-0 in 2021 with the game-winner coming from
Lauren Curran off an assist from
Mollie Schuma.
- W&M owns a 56-12 advantage in the series history with VCU, including a 22-5 mark in Richmond. The Tribe topped the Rams, 1-0, in OT last season in Williamsburg. VCU won the last two in the series in Richmond in 2019 and 2021.
- For the second time in six games, graduate student
Audrey Domovich netted two goals in a Tribe victory. She accomplished the feat against Northeastern on Sept. 22 and in the Tribe's most recent triumph over Georgetown.
- Over the last six games, Domovich has 11 points on five goals and an assist. She leads the Tribe and ranks ninth in the CAA in both points (11) and goals (5). In league play, Domovich is also tied for the CAA lead in points (7) and goals (3).

Pyper Friedman is tied for the team lead with Domovich behind 11 points on four goals and three assists. Her four goals rank 11th in the CAA, while her point total is ninth. In CAA play, she is tied for the league lead in points (7) and assists (3).
- Graduate student
Lauren Curran, who was an All-CAA First Team selection last season, scored her fourth goal of the season in the Tribe's 4-1 win over Georgetown. She ranks 11th in the CAA in goals (4) and second in shots (43). For her career, Curran has 24 goals, which ranks 17th in program history. Her next goal will move her into the top 15. Curran's goals per game mark of 0.49 is 11th in school history.
- Senior
Maddie McGaughey leads the Tribe and ranks ninth in the CAA with four assists on the year. She is tied for the league lead with three assists in CAA games.
- Friedman was named the CAA Player of the Week for the second time on Sept. 18 behind two goals, including the game-winner, at Towson. She also earned player of the week honors after scoring both Tribe goals in a 2-1 upset of then-No. 12 Wake Forest on Sept. 1. They were first two-goal games of Friedman's career.
- The Tribe's 2-1 win over then-No. 12-ranked Wake Forest was the Tribe's 12th under head coach
Tess Ellis against Top-20 opponents, including the fourth over the ACC. Last season, W&M topped three top-20 opponents, including No. 6-ranked Liberty. The last time W&M won two matches against ACC competition in the same season was 2001.
