WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's golf opens the 2022 fall campaign hosting the William & Mary Fall Invitational at the Kingsmill Resort, Sept. 12-13.
W&M Fall Invitational
The tournament will be held on the River Course. This week the course will play at par-72 and 6,167 yards. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 on Monday. Both days will a feature shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. In addition to W&M, this tournament includes teams from Bucknell, Charleston Southern, Delaware State, Elon, Florida Atlantic, Longwood, Radford, Richmond, South Dakota State and Towson.

- Graduate student
Sarah Houle returns for a fifth year after earning All-CAA First Team honors last season. She posted the second-best stroke average in school history at 74.67, while recording three top-5s and five top-10s in nine events. Houle produced seven rounds of par or better in 2021-22, which is the second most on the single-season list.
- Sophomore
Emma Lu recorded the third-best rookie scoring average in W&M history last season at 76.9. She posted back-to-back top-10 performances last season, including a runner-up finish at Kingsmill Intercollegiate in March.
- Last season, Houle led the Tribe at the W&M Invitational, earning a share of eighth. She fired a 218 (+2), which included a second-round 2-under par 70.
- Seniors
Cindy Zhou and
Mikah McDonnell both rank among the top 12 in program history in career scoring average. Zhou is ninth at 78.32 strokes per round, while McDonnell is 12th at 79.06.
- The Tribe added a trio of freshmen this season in
Grace Lu,
Simone Senk and
Avery Thompson. Lu won the NJSGA 65th Junior Girls Championship in 2019, while Thompson won the Texas Legends Alamo Shootout in 2020, the NTPGA Granbury Classic in 2021 and the Tangle Ridge Open in 2021. Senk competed in the 2022 US Girls' Junior Championship and won the Indiana Women's Golf Association Match Play Tournament over the summer.
