WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Tribe baseball's senior
Cole Ragone was named the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Tuesday.
Ragone helped the Tribe to a pair of wins over Lafayette and Princeton Saturday and Sunday at Plumeri Park. The first baseman was 5-9 in the pair of games, scoring three times and driving in 10 runs.
Ragone had an RBI single, a three-RBI double, and the Tribe's third grand slam of the season on Saturday. The eight RBI day tied for the second most runs driven in by a player in a single game in William & Mary History. He followed it up with a pair of doubles, driving in two and scoring once on Sunday.
On the season, Ragone is hitting .429 and has a team-leading .929 slugging percentage. The Richmond native doubled and scored in Tuesday's game against Georgetown and is riding a three-game hitting streak.
