Casey Green Named W&M Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery
 
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Tribe baseball's Casey Green has been named the W&M Student-Athlete of the Week as Presented by the Virginia Lottery. Green was instrumental in the Tribe's sweep of George Mason last weekend.
 
The junior pitched seven shutout innings last Saturday in the Green and Gold's 2-1 win over the Patriots. Green did not walk a batter and gave up just a pair of hits, striking out three in the ballgame.
 
On the year, Green has allowed just three earned runs over 18.1 innings pitched, good for a 1.47 ERA ranking him in the top-50 in all of college baseball. The righty has struck out 13 men on the season, walking just four, and has allowed just one extra-base hit on the season.
 
Green and the Tribe are on a four-game winning streak and will look to extend that streak as the team welcomes in UNCW this weekend to begin CAA play.
