Tribe Baseball Announces 2023 Schedule

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - William & Mary baseball coach Mike McRae has announced the team's 2023 schedule. The 56-game slate features 17 unique opponents that had a winning record in 2022, six that won 40 or more contests a year ago, and seven teams that qualified for the 2022 NCAA Tournament. 
 
The Tribe will open the season at Mercer for a three-game set with the Bears Feb. 17-19. The home-opener will be Tuesday, Feb. 21 as the Green and Gold host Richmond. The following day the Tribe will welcome in Old Dominion before a three-game home series with Marist Feb. 24-26. The Tribe will conclude February with a midweek game against George Mason at Plumeri Park Feb. 28. 
 
McRae's squad will begin March with a trip to Norfolk to visit ODU on the first of the month, before hosting West Virginia, Fairfield, and Canisius Mar. 3-5. The Tribe will visit ACC power Virginia Mar. 7th before kicking off a 30-game CAA schedule against College of Charleston at Plumeri Park Mar10-12. 
 
The Tribe will host Norfolk State on Mar. 14 and visit an ECU team on Mar. 15 that reached the NCAA Super Regionals a year ago. William & Mary will travel to battle defending CAA champion Hofstra Mar. 17-19 and visit George Mason Mar. 21. The Green and Gold will welcome in CAA newcomer Monmouth to Plumeri Park Mar. 24-26 to kick off a seven-game homestand. 
 
The Tribe will host a Campbell team that reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago on Mar. 28 and play a late season non-conference series with St. Johns Mar.31-April 2 in Williamsburg. The team will make a midweek trip to visit Maryland April 4 and make its first visit as a conference rival to Stony Brook April 7-9. 
 
William & Mary will return home to host VCU April 11 and Elon April 14-16 before making a midweek trip to Durham April 18 to take on Duke. The Tribe will visit North Carolina A&T April 21-23 and host George Washington April 25 and Delaware April 28–30. 
 
May will kick off with a trip to VMI on the 2nd before visiting Towson May 5-7 to kick off a stretch of nine straight conference games to complete the regular season. The Tribe's final three home games of the year will be May 12-14 against Northeastern and the regular season will conclude May 18-20 at UNCW. 
 
The CAA Tournament will take place May 24-27 and will be hosted by College of Charleston with the NCAA Regionals scheduled for the first weekend in June.
