NEWARK, Del. – Facing a deeper-than-ever field at Friday's Colonial Athletic Association Championship, William & Mary men's cross country finished third and continued its 35-year streak of placing in the top three at the league meet. Sophomore Jacob Jones led the Green and Gold, placing 14th in 25:23.00 and capturing All-CAA honors for the second straight year.  
 
First-time participant Stony Brook clinched the conference title with an overall score of 31. Northeastern came in second (39), and W&M's third-place performance came with a score of 111. Also running in its first CAA Championship, Monmouth (117) was fourth, while Hofstra (123) rounded out the top-five.
 
Northeastern's Alexander Korczynski won the 8K meet at White Clay Creek State Park in 24:09.60.
 
All nine W&M harriers placed in the top-50. Sophomore Nate Jennings crossed the finish line in 20th with a time of 25:37.10. Not far behind him, four Tribe runners wrapped up the race within steps of one another as graduate student T.J. Corliss, freshman Luke Ellwood, sophomore Sam Pritchard, and graduate student Evan Goodell finished 31st through 34th. The quartet all finished in a 13-second span.
 
Sophomore Stephen Larson and freshman Joseph Taylor hit their stride down the stretch; both moved up a spot in the final split to finish 41st and 44th in 26:28.70 and 26:40.70, respectively. Sophomore Harrison Vives was 49th overall at 26:59.50.

The Tribe will continue its postseason on Friday, Nov. 11, when the team will compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky.
