REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – William & Mary women's golf wrapped up the fall season, finishing eighth at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Sunday.
 
Freshman Avery Thompson led the way for the Tribe with a top-20 performance individually. She turned in her best round of the tournament in the final round behind a 2-over 74 to moved up into a share of 18th place a 227 (+11). It marked the second top-20 showing of her young career along with earning a share of 15th at the Elon Invitational.
 
Classmate Grace Lu finished in a share of 24th ond stroke behind Thompson at 228 (+12). Both Lu and Thompson led the Tribe with six birdies on the weekend. Lu fired her best round in the second, posting a 2-over 74 to go with 77s in the first and third rounds.
 
All five Tribe players in the lineup carded scores in the 70s during each of the three rounds. Graduate student Sarah Houle earned share of 33rd at 231 (+15). Senior Mikah McDonnell finished in a share of 45th at 234 (+18), while freshman Simone Senk was one stroke back in a share of 49th.

As a team, the Tribe carded an opening round 305 (+17), before shooting 307 (+19) in each of the final two rounds. W&M was eight overall at 919 (+55). Dartmouth won the team title by 11 shots over Harvard thanks to a 880 (+16).
