Things to Know

- The Tribe and Flames have split their previous two meetings. W&M won in Lynchburg, 3-0, in 2012, while Liberty posted a 3-2 victory in Williamsburg in 2016.

- The Tribe's 2021 schedule is loaded with nationally-ranked competition. W&M opened the season with home games against No. 16 Penn State and No. 8 Virginia. The Tribe has five remaining contests against nationally-ranked foes in No. 11 Virginia (Oct. 20), No. 12 Liberty (Sept. 19), No. 17 Duke (Sept. 26), No. 19 Old Dominion (Oct. 24) and No. 22 Delaware (Oct. 17). In total, the Tribe's non-conference schedules features six of nine matches against nationally-ranked competition.

- Senior goalkeeper Kimi Jones ranks fourth in the CAA and 27th nationally at 4.75 saves per game. Earlier in the year, she tallied a season-high eight saves against nationally-ranked Virginia. She also ranks among the Tribe career leaders in a couple different categories. Jones ranks 14th in school history with 146 saves and is tied for seventh in career wins by a goalkeeper with 24 wins over her 40 starts.

- In its most recent game against Longwood, the Tribe rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the match at three. Sophomore Maddie McGaughey and junior Sally Snead scored just over two minutes apart to tie the match at three with just over eight minutes remaining. Unfortunately, the Lancers answered just 16 seconds after the equalizer to pull out the win, 4-3. Both McGaughey and junior Lauren Curran scored their first collegiate goals in the match with Longwood.

- Junior Tabby Billingham, an All-CAA Second Team pick in the spring, leads the Tribe with two assists. She assisted on a goal in the opener against Penn State and added another against the Lancers. She ranks second in the CAA and 45th nationally in assists per game (0.50).

- The Tribe announced its captains and leadership group for the 2021 season. Senior Cara Menges and junior Tabby Billingham were selected as captains. The leadership group joining the Tribe captains includes seniors Jorja Morgan and Kimi Jones and juniors Rachel Gantz and Sally Snead.
