WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's soccer once again partners with the Go 4 the Goal Foundation to raise money for pediatric cancer research. The Tribe's Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer® match will be on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m., when W&M welcomes No. 17-ranked Virginia Tech to Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field.
During the spring, the Tribe raised over $3,000 for the Go 4 the Goal Foundation. This marks the second year that W&M has joined the Go 4 the Goal Foundation in supporting pediatric cancer research. As part of Tuesday's match against the Hokies, the Tribe will be Lacing Up 4 Pediatric Cancer by wearing gold shoe laces in support.
Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer began in the fall of 2011. Since then, professional, college and youth teams have participated in raising funds and awareness for the #1 disease killer of children. To date, over a half million athletes have supported our cause. $4 from every $5 pair of laces and 100% of all donations directly benefit kids and families in the state where the funds are raised.
