W&M-Elon All-Time Series
W&M and Elon have played just five times, as the Phoenix owns a 4-1 advantage in the series. Three of the five matchups were decided by three goals or less.

Last Meeting vs. Elon
W&M opened its CAA slate with a 15-6 setback to No. 25 Elon at Busch Turf on April 3. Although W&M was outscored by just one goal in the second half (6-5), it was unable to overcome a 9-1 halftime deficit. Kathleen Cozzi and Grace Ahonen led W&M offensively with two goals apiece, while Sabrina Schrader and Sydney Sloan also found the back of the cage. Schrader also totaled a career-high eight draw controls to go with three ground balls and a caused turnover. Defensively, Caroline Donovan ecorded a team-high three caused turnovers, while goalie Devon Fleischmann posted 10 saves and seven ground balls.

Last Time Out
W&M fell at No. 25 James Madison, 21-8, last Friday. Although W&M got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Lauren Russell, JMU responded with 10 unanswered goals and held the Tribe scoreless for a span of more than 21 minutes. Belle Martire scored a team-high three goals, while Russell found the back of the cage twice.

Ranked Opponents
Although Elon fell out of the national rankings recently, W&M's 12-game slate has included five games against nationally ranked opponents.

Closing in on a W&M Freshman Record
Freshman standout Caroline Hertzberg enters Sunday's contest averaging 1.67 caused turnovers per game, which ranks tied for 12th on W&M's single-season list and first among freshmen. The current freshman single-season record was set by Abby Junior (1.44) in 2014, meaning Herzberg will eclipse the record even if she does not record a CT against Elon. Courtney Vasquenza is also challenging the mark, as she is averaging 1.36 caused turnovers per game.

Martire Honored as CAA Player of the Week Twice
W&M standout Belle Martire has been selected as the CAA Player of the Week twice this season. She garnered her first accolade of the year following a seven-point, eight-draw control effort in the win against Longwood. Martire was honored a second time after recording eight points (7g, 1a) with eight draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls in the victory against Campbell.

Martire Eclipses 100-Goal Mark
Belle Martire became the 21st player in school history to reach the 100-goal mark with her hat trick against Radford. She currently has 111 career goals, which ranks 16th on W&M's all-time list, while her 128 points ranks 19th.

Among W&M's All-Time Best
Goalie Elsa Rall currently ranks fourth on the Tribe's all-time saves list with 470 career stops. She needs 14 more to move into a tie for third with Jacque Orsi (1997-00), who finished her career with 484 stops.

Starr Howard also ranks among the Tribe's best in draw controls and ranks eighth all-time with 102. She needs seven more to move into a tie for seventh with Morgan Lang (2003-06), who finished her career with 109 DC.

Record-Setting Performance
Belle Martire equaled her own single-game school record with 10 points and nearly matched her own single-game record with eight goals in the Tribe's 19-11 victory at Old Dominion earlier this season.

Captains
W&M is led by a quintet of senior captains this season – Elsa Rall, Audrey Hoeg, Sophie Kopec, Anne Milwicz and Devon Fleischmann. All five captains have distinguished themselves as outstanding leaders both on and off the field throughout their careers.
