RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary's
Lev Kazakov and
Sebastian Quiros were named the Colonial Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week on Wednesday, the league announced.
It marked the Tribe's first doubles team of the week award this season and the third weekly CAA honor for the program. Kazakov received his second CAA weekly honor of the spring after being named the singles player of the week on March 31. Quiros garnered his second career weekly honor after earning a singles player of the week accolade in 2018.
Teaming together for the first time on Saturday, Kazakov and Quiros clinched the critical doubles point in the Tribe's 4-3 win over rival Old Dominion. The Tribe tandem upset the No. 43 nationally ranked team of Luca Maldoner and Nicola Vidal, 7-5, on line two to give W&M the 1-0 lead as the Tribe knocked off ODU for the first time since 2014.
