WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary baseball returns to action this weekend with a three-game series with Richmond. The Tribe will welcome the Spiders to Plumeri Park for game one of the matchup Friday at 6:00 p.m. before the two finish the series with a Sunday doubleheader in Richmond.
The Tribe will be looking to bounce back from a three-game sweep at the hands of VCU last weekend while Richmond enters the series winners of five straight ball games. The Spiders defeated VMI and Longwood last week and knocked off Norfolk State 17-5 Tuesday afternoon.
History sides with the Tribe as the Green and Gold hold a 16-9 advantage in the 25 all-time meetings between the two programs. William & Mary has had even more success in the series at home winning 10 of the 12 games between the teams in Williamsburg including the last three at Plumeri Park.
